I never got into jazz. I think the blues is so much better.
Because Lennon hated Jazz. And Lennon>Jazz.
he did? relgiously or did he just dislike it?

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 07:24 PM

Umm, in his biography it says "he hated Jazz with a firey passion". He insulted it many times on TV and live radio and in many articles. All of the beatles did (the original beatles that is).

I like Jazz. But Lennon zwns. So i'll break some crappy 2nd rate jazz album.

gmoneyguy 09-27-2004 07:25 PM

The original? Like Pre-ringo?

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 07:27 PM

I don't think ringo had a problem with it. But who cares about Ringo anyway?

gmoneyguy 09-27-2004 07:27 PM

lol, I dont know what you mean by the "original" beatles.

I envy my heroes for their good qualities not the bad ones!

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 07:30 PM

John Lennon, Paul Mcartny (sp :( ), George Harrsion and Pete Best. And I think some bass player who nobody cared about.

gmoneyguy 09-27-2004 07:31 PM

Thats what I meant by pre-Ringo

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 07:31 PM
I envy my heroes for their good qualities not the bad ones!
Well good for you.

Badmoon 09-27-2004 07:32 PM

Yeah, but Lennon liked Country/Folk/Bluegrass. So, he makes up for the jazz hate in my book.

RockAndRoll 09-27-2004 07:34 PM
Well good for you.
hahah write him a song that'll make him happy! Then you must share it with us.

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 07:35 PM

Yes, I don't really care if he didn't like Jazz because i'm not that big of a fan of it anyway.

BludgeonySteve 09-27-2004 07:55 PM

Pfft, this just means that he will be better when he returns from the banning. I'm sick of spam in this thread.

I might write a song, and I might not. I'll call it... the lennon song! Get it? Kind of like Zeppelin's Lemon song? hahahaha

...No? :(

gmoneyguy 09-27-2004 07:57 PM

I think that would be cool.

Does anyone know who plays the song "Spirit in the sky" ? I hear it on the classic rock station all the time, and I'm pretty sure theres different covers of it. Anyone know which one would be the 'rock' classic version of this song ?
