Barbeque sauce is made sooo much better when you add a little Franks.
Best hot sauce ever.
Dude... no. It tastes good, sure, but as a hot sauce? Does not cut it. |
And what is your idea of good hot sauce? You have to keep in mind flavor. I absolutely hate hot sauce that is devoid of flavor.
|
Ahh, there's this stuff... I can't think of the name right now. It's an Asian hot sauce. Great taste and just the right amount of spice so that you can effectively apply for desired spiciness.
My problem with Frank's being called a hot sauce is that you need so damn much for even the littlest bit of spice. I love spicy food. As I said, Frank's tastes good, it just doesn't make the grade as a hot sauce. |
I'm pretty sure the stuff I'm talking about is Sriracha sauce.

Yeah, it's got a lot of kick, but I personally think the flavor is a bit lacking. EDIT: Yeah, that's the stuff. EDIT: It has an okay flavor, but I don't find that it's nearly as versatile. It really only lends itself to Asian food IMO. I might try mixing some of it with my Franks, though, to kick it up a notch. |
Gotcha. I really dig the flavor.
I've found effective ways of using those insanely hot hot sauces. I had this ridiculous stuff that I would use only one cap-full (as in, the cap of the bottle) in two pounds of ground beef and BBQ some burgers. On its own (or just a little too much on what you're eating), it'll burn your mouth for a good 30 minutes. Mixed in with the raw beef and then cooked, it was fantastic. |
I add sriracha to a lot of sauces, because it blends well with just about anything that contains garlic. Surprisingly good in lasagna.
|
I love hot sauce and spicy foods. We have a place here that makes incredible shawarma and serves them with curry fries that make you cry from both happiness and spiciness.

Sorry. :'( I'll try, but I dunno if I'll make it, and I'm moving to BC in the fall. |

That murder by death track was really faggy.

I'm gonna go to Vancouver for the summer I think.
Ha. I might see you then. I'll be there by mid August, I believe. And, no, not for grad. Just for shits and giggles. Moving out with most of the band, for a change of scenery. |

Yeah, Vancouver or one of its suburbs.
o cool surrey dont get shot
lul As long as we stay out of east Hastings, everything should be good. We're looking for a house, so it probably won't be in Vancouver, but close enough to get into easily. |
So, I'm selling a bass instead of buying one.
i kno. Weird, right? |

Don't do it. They are a trap. Buy my Stingray. |
Big show tonight. I'm very excited.

How big? |
How big?
I don't know exactly. It's at one of the best mid-level venues in the city. Lots of touring bands play this place. We've sold a bunch of tickets and have nuff people coming out. There will be bouncing, followed by rolling, followed by rolling of the third type. |
Nice. You should tell your bassist to buy my Stingray.
|
I would, but I already know he doesn't want a Stingray. He's a man of Schecter tastes.

I really like my Schecter too. I would love to get a custom made to match the specs of the Studio 6 with a thinner neck, but I can't justify the custom-shop price of one. EDIT: And upgraded to Active EMGs. |
How much, generally, are their custom-shop basses?
I have no need to buy any more instruments. |
How much, generally, are their custom-shop basses?

Not worth it, IMO, to have a production-model instrument made with a slightly thinner neck and upgraded electronics. It's a $900 instrument that any respectable luthier could mod for w/ parts and labor coming to no more than the cost of the bass. |
I see. You're right. Definitely not worth that much money.

I think I'm about ready to stop writing research papers for a spell.
|
wahoo.
first show tomorrow |

T minus 16 hours until my new band plays our first show.
It's an outdoor event (googlefest), and the facebook page has 1600+ confirmed guests (not that there will be nearly that many when we are actually playing). I'm pretty pumped to rock out the new jams. |
We've got our first show next Friday.
JFC. I'm excited. |
That went really well last night. It was so much fun.
We had one person filming and a photography student with a badass camera taking pictures. I can't wait to see it all. |
