My friends who play World of Warcraft want me to start playing with them. I know it's fun, and my job would cover the monthly payment, but I'm still worried about the whole "life consuming" factor.

Is that some kind of PC-Online game?

MX already consumes half your life, dude.

magicbus 06-08-2005 09:21 AM

Yea its an online game. It does much more damage than MX, as I've cooled it with MX in the past few weeks.

Ah, well, i don't know, man. I know kids who play those online games and after one week of non-stop gameage, they're addicted to it. It's like they never stop talking about it, and their whole vocabulary changes.

On the other hand, I have been known to shout "History's for n00bs, lollersaurus!" in my US History class in recent months...

Yea that's the kinda stuff it'll do to you.

I've also used some MX vocabulary at school before

When I did the National STFU Days back in my Pit days, I let slip an occasional "STFU!" to people at school. Good stuff. The internet has control of my mind.

magicbus 06-08-2005 09:33 AM

It's fun to write stuff like "stfu" and "wtf" on your homework and hope the teacher doesn't know what it means.

Off to work though, later guys.

It's even more fun to write derogatory remarks on the board.

Have a good one, dude.

Lord Abortion 06-08-2005 10:00 AM

that'll teach me that healthy exercise and chatting up girls outside is bad for you

Arucard 06-08-2005 10:04 AM

Wow, the bass on Mudvayne's 'Lost And Found' is awesome.

Cain 06-08-2005 10:23 AM

Just purchased "Octavarium." It's pretty good so far. :thumb: Certainly no Train of Thought. Much more melodic.

It still has it's heavy moments.

How's the ear?

The same. I plan on listening to it again when this wax leaves.

I'm kind of used to it, but it's still quite the nuisance.

Steerpike 06-08-2005 10:35 AM

Just finished Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and just started on Clive Barker.

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 10:38 AM

I just finished SlaughterHouse Five, starting on A Seperate Peace/

What did you make of The Guide?

Steerpike 06-08-2005 10:40 AM

Very funny. Marvin and Arthur were of course my favorite characters.

Bartender 06-08-2005 10:42 AM

Was that the first time you read it? Lucky bastard.

I'm reading Oscar Wilde - De Profundis. It's a looong letter.

jpj 06-08-2005 10:44 AM

I need a book to read when I'm done with On the Road. I'd like a scary one, suggestions?

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 10:44 AM

I'm considering reading The Guide, but not yet. There's a long waiting list. Currently I'm trying to read Stephen King books. Munky Magic, was your old user title a reference to Desperation?

Which old user title are you talking about?

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 10:48 AM

"And then they found David, with his head amputated."

Dancin' Man 06-08-2005 10:49 AM

Is your ear better Cain?

If not, how do you plan on listening to that album?

Bartender 06-08-2005 10:50 AM

With one ear, I'd assume.

Gates - it's a line from a song. A good song.

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 10:51 AM

CAin's offline. He said it's not better and he already listened to it and will again when the wax leaves.

[QUOTE=Bartender]With one ear, I'd assume.

Oh, just checking, because I saw a connection.
Which song?

Bartender, thanks for editing. I was going to do so myself but was too lazy. :thumb:

He's right!

Yeah, I can't listen to it well enough with just one ear. I stopped. The wax will hopefully be removed by tomorrow, and I'll listen again.

I hope to God my first day at work isn't completely sabotaged by this ear problem.

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 11:00 AM

Put it on mono and listen through one ear.

WHere do you work?

Endless Obsession 06-08-2005 11:01 AM

Breakfast service at a hotel in my town. Work starts at 6 in the morning, so naturally, the doctor won't be in to take my earwax out yet.

ATM 06-08-2005 12:02 PM

Hey guys.

Not much going on in Maryland. I had my art class this morning, and now I am listening to Rancid and contacting people about starting a band.

Does anyone have a spare minute or two to listen to a recording of mine?

CemetaryGates9 06-08-2005 12:04 PM

After the last recording I heard of yours, I'm reluctant, but sure, Baer, let's hear it.

ATM 06-08-2005 12:07 PM

It's kind of long :/

Aren't you on a slow connection?
