DMST live sound almost exactly like their recordings, and Final Fantasy is one guy playing a violin while tinkering with his loop pedal. Not really my thing, but my friend told me they played together after I left so you can expect that when you go to their show.

I would love to see DMST

Good for you, racist.

stupid f**k.
racists like you lost their power in the 1960's if you've forgotten.
everyone is equal, and they always have been.
but now people like you can't get away saying they aren't.
you deserve all the bad things that karma will bring you.
lol

80vs90 07-03-2007 09:21 PM

im kinda pissed cause now i can't even get the tabs. can't wait till mx opens back up.

YDload 07-03-2007 09:23 PM

just figure out the songs by ear ;)

80vs90 07-03-2007 09:25 PM

well, yeah, but im a total n00b and have a real hard time with even relative pitch. but i've been trying real hard to get into that more

pulseczar 07-04-2007 12:36 AM

i've tabbed two tabs lately yo la tengo - stockholm syndrome and manic street preachers - second great depression thanks to mxtabs going away

margin0walker 07-04-2007 01:43 AM

i tried to tab Postlapsatia by Saetia and Staring Down The Barrel Of Limited Options by Off Minor for the bass but i didnt get very far on either one.

Liebensaft 07-04-2007 01:54 AM

I've attempted to tab bass parts for songs and have failed mostly. I got really close to the actual way to play a Flaming Lips song, and I'm pretty sure I figured out at least the main riff in a Violent Femmes song.

Happymeal 07-04-2007 09:27 AM

I'm trying to do "Sugarcube" and "Nighttime Anytime (It's Alright)" by Constantines at the moment.

i know on bass:

Return to Hot Chicken
Moby Octopad (i got it right this time i swear!)
Deeper Into Movies
Stockholm Syndrome
The Lie and How We Told It
Center of Gravity
We're An American Band

last two are probably the most fun to play. i have a hard time with Sugarcube cause the bass is so fuzzy.

Waltz Profit 07-04-2007 10:27 AM

hey yidlode i needs a big avatar

YDload 07-04-2007 10:28 AM

Glitterati 07-04-2007 12:25 PM

I need clothes on, but....well you know.

br3ad_man 07-04-2007 06:44 PM
i have a hard time with Sugarcube cause the bass is so fuzzy.
There's definitely some bass chords in it as well.

YDload 07-04-2007 06:53 PM

oh thats just terrific!

does anyone else hear bass chords (or double-stops, just the note and its fifth) in a bunch of Pavement songs from Slanted and Enchanted? Like the chorus of Trigger Cut, or all of No Life Singed Her and Conduit for Sale? that's the way i've been playing them anyway

This website has a funny recording of some little kid pretending he's on the radio: http://www.sweetthunder.org/tapes/

pikester 07-05-2007 02:47 AM

I know I'll be about the 3 billionth person to post this in this forum but....

Frick, Battles are fantastic live.

Thanks 07-05-2007 11:07 AM

When I was little I used to record radio shows. But they were mostly about X-Men.

asdf 07-05-2007 12:52 PM

When I was five me and my two friends had a band. Two drummers and one piano player, and we all sang. I know I have a recording of that somewhere.
