Mmmm, I want to add an 18" 2002 to my lineup.

poppinfresh 09-21-2005 09:39 PM

hey sic, im looking ofrward to that rant. Our theacher is making us keep a journal. I have written a good 9 pages of rants the last hour, each one different some go on for a few pages but i need at least 12 since i havent been keeping up. I love ranting.

rockindrummer 09-21-2005 09:47 PM
Awesome man, 17" 2002 = big :thumb:
oh definitly man, I got a great deal on it too. $100 and they sell new here, canada, for like $300.

Plan I don't have a camera but here are the pics that I was sent when asking about the cymbal.

Beautiful cymbal.

Not the same lathing on the Full though. I still love the way that cymbal looks, the Full crash doesn't have the hammer marks.

poppinfresh 09-21-2005 09:52 PM

nice, i have a 19 and 20 myself but they are cracked, they dont sound good by themselves, but sound incredible with the guitar going.

2 more rants to go.

hmm.....

Ya I love the way it looks with the hammer marks it's a really nice cymbal, seems extremly small after using an 18" Z custom forever. Wow it sounds about a billion time better though, and it quite the crash for being smaller than my other crash. Fits very nicely.

poppinfresh 09-21-2005 10:20 PM

ok im sleepingnow e-friends i thoguht i should let you know. i send you all an e-goodnight and i iwll be up early in the morning to e-greet youj. goodnight

PowerStamp 09-21-2005 10:21 PM

HAHA

The Suicide Girls are on tour right now (Burlesque show I think basically) and the one in Lawrence (30 minute drive) lists "Locals TBA" on it, and I just asked Terry if my band can be on that

That will be SO freaking sweet.

poppinfresh 09-21-2005 10:28 PM

sweet, they are sometimes hot, it would kick *** if you could get it.

Does nayone have an extra drum module lying aorund that they could let go for a reasonable(from my point of view) price?

Double Bass Jim 09-21-2005 10:29 PM

Looks great rockin!

rockindrummer 09-21-2005 10:48 PM

Thanks Jim. It looks even better on my kit too :p

Double Bass Jim 09-21-2005 10:50 PM

Oh im sure :)

PowerStamp 09-21-2005 10:53 PM

whew...that's enough show bugging for today haha
I asked Terry about the Suicide Girls show and a few others, Metal Mark at El Torreon about two, and Andrew at Groundwork about one and then any others haha

Hopefully something pops up..

On that note, I leave you all to go watch the rest of the Family Guy episode I have on pause (Yes, I bought Volume 2...lol, 20 more episodes to go haha!) and then watch Night of the Living Dead.

i like ranting too, but only with certain subjects. most things i don't care enough to put thought and effort into it, but certain things just piss me off. and ranting's a great way to get your thoughts out there.

well this whole new band thing i'm wanting to start is already coming along nicely. i have 2 full songs written already (without vocals) and they're sounding pretty good instrumental-wise. the toughest part is going to be getting a drummer (as i'd like to play guitar in this band) maybe my friend who just started a few weeks ago will do the job for now. my project for tomorrow is to think of a good name. i want it to be something that kind of seems like random words thrown together, but i want it to mean something too.

PowerStamp 09-21-2005 11:32 PM

Manifest The Final Hour
:D

lol

just start thinking of cool words and throw them together. Think of a THEME. Zombies, are always a good theme for a band name.

Seafroggys 09-22-2005 12:33 AM

Flying Undead Tuna

Voodoo Rabbit 09-22-2005 01:13 PM

The last band name I suggested was 'Swedish Cow Snatchers'.

It wasn't actually meant to be intentional. but the guitarist thought I actually meant it.

----

My eyes hurt.
And I finished writing an essay about an hour ago. I got a 'D' last time, so I'm hoping the teacher likes this one better.
Horrible woman...

Drum Phil 09-22-2005 01:54 PM

Impending doom

Well i have a show tomorrow with a band i havent played with for 6 months. Fun. Im stepping in as an emergency because their drummers taken ill.

This should be a challenge to say the least  I have half an hour to create some basic drum lines to a half hour set. Im a dead man. I'll let y'all know how it goes

Im desperately trying to get a bargain on a module right now. I see an Alesis D4 for 30 pounds. I WANT IT!

Oh and if anyone else tries to get it, I will personally stab you multiple times, and then laugh at you because you won't know what to do with a module anyway.

bobby__johnny 09-22-2005 02:40 PM

UPS has officially made my ****list.

i ordered my cymbal form Massmusic on Sept 7th......and guess what....i still dont have it!!!!

Tim 09-22-2005 02:55 PM

UPS sucks. they always delay my stuff. fedex all the way

Double Bass Jim 09-22-2005 03:00 PM

My UPS guy rules, he been delvering on the same route for about 20 years now. Everytime He brings me somthin he asks me "are you still playin? I don't hear anything when I drive by!"

Jezen 09-22-2005 03:08 PM

Well hes gotta be a nice UPS guy if you can actually have a conversation with him. Maybe bring him in for some coffee on his next visit?

Tim 09-22-2005 03:13 PM

when i ordered a cymbal case and ups delivered it, it got delayed like 3 weeks :(. it was the biggest croq ever.

Double Bass Jim 09-22-2005 03:16 PM

Haha I have before man! He's a cool dude.

He's come up and checked out my kit before, he makes a daily drop off at the little music shop on the end of my street so I see em all the time.

ijm looking for something that can recognize high hat swoshes, and its ten times as much necesarry for me to have one since i can only practice on weekends since i moved into an ampartment and that is completely different form my practice everyday for a few hours routine, its been slowing me down and im losing a lot of the tricks i had on muscle memory so im not the same.

Jezen 09-22-2005 03:31 PM

Im not bothered about anything advanced, which is why I don't want this D4 to get anymore expensive. I only want extra sounds for my kit, like Akira Jimbo.

Oh and I finally got stars! w00t! Thanks Jimmy! :D
