Personal favourite track after first play.

Im noticing while synching these up, JoZ uses a weird percussion effect at points. i never noticied it until putting it up against a guitar track, but its like a chime (?) And the background noise I had also forgot about, il ltry and clean it up a bit. I remember him saying he might re do it.


Just on the plus side, some sections of this are sounding really cool, and more importantly, unique for the song. :thumb:

Either way, you're a better choice. You're a great drummer, and I'm limited to my play time because infinite people live in my house and are all lame about me playing.

Yeah i cut after the second chorus, i will probably just record it in 3 sections or something, cause i'm noway gonna eb able to keep it going...and i need to use my trst slide (pen) for the solo...I'm trying to make it interesting, but the end part sounds awful cause i can't get the pen to go across more than one string at a time...

Adobe Audition, and for parts that I need, Audacity. Not needed so far though

And i've just screwed myself out of 10 minutes hard work. i cut a section, and the boundaries changed, so it fell out of synch. And I had it lined up PERFECT. :upset:

Well, I did all I can do* to the track. Its a pity the drums and bass arent seperate, could have got some serious panning mess about going. But here's the first section. Feel free to crit my recording style (i would have liked the guitar louder, but JoZ's recording was already pushing the red compared to Rob's more mix friendly track.)

That was good practice though, It'll be awesome when I get hold of all four parts. I could even venture into having 2 guitar parts in the mix if they seem close enough to each other.

So far I think this album is awesome man, its exactly the sorta stuff I've been looking for :thumb:

And on a side note how the f[b][i][/b][/i]uck do you guys play Tool stuff!! I just can't get the rhythm's right, especially in the verses when the guitar isn't as clear, I play what I would play, then stop and listen and realise Adam is playing some weird a[b][i][/b][/i]ss sh[b][i][/b][/i]it!

Do you guys read off tabs? Or do you use Powertabs and get the rhythm from there?

Thanks for that Amotion stuff. I really like "Outsider (Apocalypse Remix)", as well as the Weak and Powerless remix which I bought from iTunes before.
