I've been listening to heaps of technical metal lately.

Who else here besides RCA is signed up on Metal-Archives?
I am. My name there is xOverkillx, but I rarely visit the forum on MA

I'm also on The Metal Forums: http://www.metal-forum.com/ Which is another interesting forum devoted to metal.

And the Entertainment Forums: http://www.entertainmentforums.greatboard.com

CaptainWaits 04-10-2005 11:10 AM

FatalEnergy 04-10-2005 07:49 PM

I went picked up Melissa and The Beginning by Mercyful Fate it's top notch shit, I can totally tell that this influenced thrash bands :thumb: :amaze: :) :D

ForiegnPenguin 04-10-2005 08:08 PM

I really have to pick that up someday.

Np:Manowar-Wheels of Fire

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2005 08:08 PM

Thats the same 2 cd set that i got.

Evil = Best.Song.Ever.

CaptainWaits 04-10-2005 08:11 PM

I tried out Melissa when I was in the middle of my Thrash day listening. It didn't appeal to me much

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2005 08:32 PM

Blasphemah! :P

As soon as i downloaded Evil, i was hooked.

ForiegnPenguin 04-10-2005 08:34 PM

You just inspired me to listen to that song.

FatalEnergy 04-10-2005 08:41 PM

Yeah, Evil owns

it's like Early Blackened Power NWOBHM

which makes no sense at all, but it rules nonetheless :thumb:

Corporal Compendia 04-10-2005 11:51 PM

Just got back from seeing Kreator in Toronto. They crushed... but I'm a little too beered up to go into detail right now. So details will come tomorrow... man, it took me like, 5 minutes to type that.

Alrighty, here's another album from my datavault. Another pretty tricky one to get hold of. Enjoy...

Hobbs Angel of Death - Hobbs Angel of Death

NP: Anthrax - Schism

metal-militia 04-11-2005 02:52 PM

its a pretty good album that is.

Corp: Nice one, did they play a lot of old stuff?

RCA 04-11-2005 02:56 PM

Corporal: Do you take your username from a Windham Hell song?

Corporal Compendia 04-11-2005 05:00 PM

Aye, I did. Many moons ago!

The Kreator show was great! They didn't play toooo too many old songs, lots of new ones but we were treated to some goods from Extreme Aggression, Pleasure to Kill, Coma of Souls and...****, I can't remember it all, but they played for a good 90 minutes. When they started to play Pleasure to Kill, I went and moshed up a storm. I felt I didn't have a choice.

So have any of you dudes ever used www.gemm.com before? I feel like working up a bill that I won't be able to pay off for a while.

ForiegnPenguin 04-11-2005 05:45 PM

Yeah they played Tormentor, Pleasure to Kill and Riot of Violence at mine. That was it as far as oldies go.

Corporal Compendia 04-11-2005 05:53 PM
Yeah they played Tormentor, Pleasure to Kill and Riot of Violence at mine. That was it as far as oldies go.
That's it?! Was there a ****ty crowd or something? Where did you see them?

ForiegnPenguin 04-11-2005 05:59 PM

The Worcester Palladium, The set list went Choir of the ****ed,Enemey of God, Impossible Brutality, Tormentor Violent Revolution, Pleasure to Kill World Anarchy, Extreme Aggression, People of the Lie, Riot of Violence and thats all I can remember.

FatalEnergy 04-11-2005 09:32 PM

That sounds like a pretty good setlist, I get to see them next week!!

I wish they would play more off Terrible Certainty though, but it dosen't seem like they ever do

NP: Destruction - Unconscious Ruins

Apocalyptic Raids 04-11-2005 09:55 PM

Terrible Certainty is the forgotten Kreator album.

Nice job with this uploading of albums ThrashMaster, what one next?

EDIT: omg 6 posts till post 666, i will be sure to make it in this thread.

ThrashMaster27 04-11-2005 10:34 PM

Hmmm, I'm open to suggestions. It's hard to know who's got what though.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-11-2005 10:40 PM

Maybe Impact Is Imminent or Force Of Habit by Exodus? they are out of print nowadays. (I actually have these, but others might not).

ThrashMaster27 04-11-2005 10:44 PM

Hmmm perhaps. It's about 46mb though and it's not exactly the best album, it's average at best. I didn't know it was out of print either, I'm sure I saw it a few days ago.

Edit: Shock horror! I don't have Force of Habit :p

Apocalyptic Raids 04-11-2005 10:50 PM

They are quite average, but thats about all that i can think of.

SLATANIC-666 04-12-2005 06:42 AM

teh bump :p

NP: Exodus - Tempo of the Damned

Thats a good setlist... i wish i was seeing them. I'd love to see them do Command of the Blade live.

My Sabbat CD got sent but apparently the mail bag got nicked and the Amazon seller can't replace it :(

ForiegnPenguin 04-12-2005 03:31 PM

That happened to me last week when I ordered Blessed Are the Sick.

metal-militia 04-12-2005 03:43 PM
That happened to me last week when I ordered Blessed Are the Sick.
Well that isn't exactly hard to get round here.

But Sabbat was one of the 10% of the things that got stolen that he couldn't replace. Ah well, i'll either get it from Switzerland or get something else.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-12-2005 06:22 PM

That's some bad luck there m-m.

On another note 666 posts!
