Good point, but I feel like everyone on that board would just be discussing things they all heard years ago and would never find anything new to talk about because they care about so few releases after 1996 or so.

No, actually, because believe it or not they really do discuss music they're just oddly overprotective of it. If it's a community of "their own" there wouldn't be a reason to provide some ridiculous and obviously SUPER SRS disclaimer.

And to be honest, I really like how when Gates returned he's seemingly made the effort to be a decent poster (while still taking obvious and deserved potshots) and yet now he's being surrounded by people spamming more militantly than he ever did.

Carpathian Wolves, Celtic Winter - they are the best.

Anyway, just because we tend to listen to nothing after around 94-96, doesn't mean we'll run out of things to talk about. There are far too many bands/demos/albums/whatever in the time period that we do listen to for us to run out...
