It's not a big deal, but posting stuff like that in a thread that should most likely be closed in the first place is just bumping it back up.

Or, maybe I'm just too pissed off from homework, :p.

this guy has posted the same post 3 times in the thrash thread now, even after being told to put it in the AIM trading thread.

In response to the posts regarding Pit threads:

I don't mind going in there and closing stuff if it's an obviously bad thread. I'm a super, so I can mod anywhere, but I'm mainly in Guitar and Rock & Metal.

Nostalgia 09-13-2005 12:14 AM

^ yea I understand but its just getting so bad their were getting around 6 threads a day their filled with redicilous comments that are simply asconice, I know by telling you this won't do anything because you can't stop them from producing these threads but I just wanted to let you know. Thank you

3074326 09-13-2005 12:20 AM

Haha, it's cool.

Nostalgia 09-13-2005 12:23 AM

Is it like this usually? I just recentley started going into the pit and have noticed weird threads, like yesterday I beleive I saw a thread entilted "purple vagina" I'm like.... I don't know but thanks

^^^ I hate that guy. And I was wondering, is he allowed to have a swastika as his avatar? Seems to be pretty offensive.

Child of the Grave 09-13-2005 06:21 AM

well, hes banned now, so im happy. :)

This thread has turned sooo joyous. Mindless Korn-bashing abounds and ruins a fairly decent topic. Close and/or ban offending users.

It's not the first time that someone has had a swastika avatar.

Personally I don't think it should matter.

Good afternoon guys

Quick question: does anyone have any opinions on a top 50 rock/metal pianists/keyboardists competition? Piano was very instrumental to rock in the 50's and 60's, prog bands thrived on keys and the keyboards are also prominent in many modern metal bands such as COB, Dream Theatre and a majority of black metal bands. I'd even like to suggest it as a top 100, but i don't think that people know enough keys players and pianists for this to happen.

So, yeh: opinions?

Great Idea, I think it would work well, I'm not sure about extending it to 100 though.
there are other polls to come first though, but when the time comes I'm sure it will be cool.

i like it but i could only name a few players :upset:

Daven 09-13-2005 11:36 AM

Its not a bad idea, but some people (including me) wont know too many keyboard players.

GurS told me that I allowed him to make it after Iai's polls. I don't remember it however, but it could be what I said. Which polls would come now?

I thought it was mooted that a frontman poll and a drummer poll should come before this?

superpeer 09-13-2005 12:20 PM

Well, I never really got too involved in the polls, so I really don't know.

Lord Abortion 09-13-2005 12:29 PM
They were discussed but nothing was really decided.
notice the word "mooted" there, Ali

Joe 09-13-2005 01:38 PM

Question, they don't care if we keep the trading albums over AIM thread open do they? As long as there are no uploads in the thread?

Alice in Chains thread, there was a big one not too long ago.

I want to ask for permission to make a thread about Swedish/Norway/Finland-Metal.
It should me like the Black Metal thread or the 'Any death heads here?' thread, where fans who like this scandinavian-music can discuss their bands and recommend.
maybe we can make a thread for each each state or all together... i don't know.

Is this a good idea or not? Can it be a good thread or will it die soon.... your suggestions/oppiníons?

A Scandinavian Metal thread you mean? though technically Finland isn't part of Scandinavia though I doubt many people will care.

I seem to remember a thread like that not too long ago, but I didn't fnd anything with my searches so make it. Just pack it with a decent bit of info to promote discussion. There seems to be a fair bit of interest in Scandinavian metal so the chances are that it'll last a while.

And you don't really need to ask for permission to make a thread, all you need to do is make sure that it doesn't violate any of the rules.

Close , though I suspect they would like an answer at somepoint. Possibly not giving them one until they ask in here could be humerous.

repcak 09-13-2005 03:54 PM

Finland is... f.e.: Children of Bodom

Shadows 09-13-2005 04:23 PM
though technically Finland isn't part of Scandinavia
What?? Finland is as much a part of Sandinavia as Norway or Sweden.

T'isn't.
Finland is... f.e.: Children of Bodom
I know. My point was that if call it 'The Scandinavian Metal' thread, an altogether catchier title by far, I'm sure few people will care about Finland not being part of Scandinavia.

superpeer 09-13-2005 04:40 PM

Scan·di·na·vi·a ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sknd-nv-, -nvy)

A region of northern Europe consisting of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. Finland, Iceland, and the Faeroe Islands are often included in the region.

repcak 09-13-2005 04:52 PM
