Mota, word up. You'd have been proud of my drinking prowess on holiday mate, every night, hangover or nay, for 12 nights.
you just made me smile

This weekend was awful for me, been drinking since Thursday, on friday I drank a little too much and kicked a glass door while wearing flip flops...
so now my right foot looks and feels like sh!t, then on saturday I drank for 12 hours straight, finishing almost a bottle of cheap (3.5 bucks) vodka and several beers. Yesterday I had to keep drinking to avoid a hangover and last night I started feeling like sh!t.

Blue_Moon 08-03-2009 12:39 PM

13 days straight is my record

never again though

motogrifo 08-03-2009 12:43 PM

my record is of only 7 days, my last birthday

Blue_Moon 08-03-2009 01:16 PM

pretty sure i took a few years off my life doign that though

mnemonic 08-03-2009 02:30 PM

yeah but thats off the end of your life and those years suck anyway

Blue_Moon 08-03-2009 02:44 PM

thats true

motogrifo 08-03-2009 03:10 PM

what do we care? when we're old we'll surely have like robotic livers and sh!t

Sad But True 08-03-2009 04:24 PM

I'm relying on some smart fucker inventing robotic bodies. That way, when the inevitable robotic revolution comes I can become teir master of slaves, ie, you poor schmucks.

motogrifo 08-03-2009 08:12 PM

it's 2 bucks for a pack of marlboro with 20 cigs down here, and that's expensive, 4 years ago they were 1.20

I'm getting tired of playing just clean, I love the telecaster but I need to wail a little bit. Plus I've been playing mostly just my acoustics. I need to rawk a little bit, don't have a guitar to do so though.

motogrifo 08-04-2009 04:51 PM

I can rock just ok with my tele

what happened to that universe and other ibanez 7 you had?

Left Face Down 08-05-2009 01:10 AM

So I'm in a little bit of a predicament here people, at the beginning of the year my external HDD died taking a bunch of stuff with it. I use to have a program I used that modeled guitar amps and while it wasn't the greatest thing in the world, supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread, I can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

I'm looking for it again, or something similar that I can get and put on my laptop cause I'm bored and I have at least one song I'm working on and would like to put it some where. Granted... I can remember guitar riffs I wrote 7 years ago, but of course I can't remember lyrics I wrote 7 minutes ago so I'd just like it for safe keeping.

I would also love the like 40 songs worth of lyrics I had on the HDD to come back too. =/

I digress however, I got a little audio buddy (I think that's the name of it) for a school project and I wanted to get serious with this thing. You know, like when you slip your hand down the front of some girl's pants for the first time. I want the computer to give me that look what are you doing? Oh, that's what you're doing... that feels good!

So any one that can recommend me a program which will make my computer do that is welcome to chime in.

mnemonic 08-05-2009 01:37 AM

guitar rig III sounds pretty cool, imo. revalver sounds even better. theres also alot of free VST's you can download and run with impulse responses (as the cabinet simulation), like nick crow's 8505, nick crow's 7170, and soloC all spring to mind. those last three are all 5150/6505 emulations i believe. sound pretty decent.

also; sup lfd, did you graduate college yet?

Left Face Down 08-05-2009 02:02 AM

Guitar Rig, that's what I had. It was ok, but nothing too spectacular in my opinion. I've got one semester left in college, actually on time for graduation believe it or not. Dual engineering egrees, 5 1/2 years.

I have my Peavey XXX while I'm at home, but nothing to record with too. Which is another reason for looking up something.

mnemonic 08-05-2009 12:39 PM

guitar rig III is way better than guitar rig II, i'd recommend checking it out. i remember using guitar rig II back in the day and it was balls.

also, i'd die in the engineering program i think, haha. one of my flatmates is a mechanical engineer and i can't even pronounce half the words on his homework. though he says the same thing about my accounting stuff, it can get pretty ridiculous in there too.

Left Face Down 08-06-2009 02:20 AM

Engineering is calculus, accounting is more algebraic from my experiences. You scratch Calc I in the earlier classes, but I don't know about the more in depth classes. I actually took a class over accounting to finish up my math minor (seeing you're 2 hours short of it once you get done with all the match classes you need for engineering -- 23 hours of math). I actually loved that class, it was easy as hell but the teacher was also one of the best ones I've ever had. He actually explained stuff when you asked him questions and tried to make sure every one in the class understood the material. Something that will happen in the engineering department when hell freezes over... maybe.

You get use to a certain type of math, I took a physics class over summer because I had been slacking and I need it for graduation (Physics for engineers) and they did all this crap that I had done using Calculus III in complicated as ****ing hell algebra and I wanted to friggin cry. I got a damn C in a class that I know how to do 2/3 of it in a much more technical but a much more simplistic math but couldn't because it was above the scope of the day.

Blue_Moon 08-06-2009 02:27 AM

i failed math

Left Face Down 08-06-2009 02:39 AM

R.I.P. Seattle Super Sonics. Not that I was a fan or anything, but seriously they're now the Thunder... I mean who ever named that team should be fired. I mean come on, Oklahoma City doesn't get that much ****ing rain does it? Why didn't you just call it the Oklahoma City Tornadoes, I mean at least that crappy name makes sense.

I didn't fail anything until I got to ****ing college, how ever there is a special little **** hole in my heart for history.

Blue_Moon 08-06-2009 02:57 AM

i failed lots of shi t in school i dont think i even passed my final exams thing at the end no one told me till like 3 years later! damn parents not showing interest and my lazyness

and ive know idea about american basketball teams :)

I sold all of them. Tired of 7 strings.

Also single coils don't exactly rock. A little but not a whole lotta

oh what the ****.

peer guardian two was blocking my access to it. thats weird. didnt think id even need to check that.

Left Face Down 08-06-2009 02:46 PM

Sup, bored as balls... it's a weekday and all my friends are working while I am enjoying my 2 1/2 week break between summer school and fall semester. Oh if only I had a gf, though if I did she'd probably be in Baton Rouge not in Houston so I'd be **** out of luck anyways.
I sold all of them.
What is this word... "sold", it doesn't register. I've thought about selling my RG570 before, to make room for probably another RG1570 or maybe an S series, but I can't do it. I love the damn thing too much despite the fact it just... I don't know. The last owner obviously didn't take care of it and it just feels like a feather compared to my RG1570.

I just think the body was too badly not taken care of and effected it's sound. I'd put in all the original stuff and of course try to sell it for more than the steal I got it for. Though this brings me back to not being able to give it up.

I don't really get super attached to guitars, so parting with them isn't so hard. Plus cash is king, now I can buy something new!

mnemonic 08-06-2009 04:36 PM

i never get really that attached to my guitars either. but i never sell them cos i'm left handed and nobody wants them.

JoshIsNumber3 08-06-2009 04:57 PM

i'm sure your parents felt the same way about you
