Why is everybody always talking about drugs in here?

Why not, like, world events or movies or something?

Well Lunch is one of the top posters and the only thing he really knows anything about/does is drugs, so that's part of it.

I've been having trouble sleeping lately, so I've taken to playing music, softly, all night, in the hopes of making it easier to fall asleep. So far it's been working, and I've even been having dreams influenced by the music I'm listening to.

Last night was The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Miles Davis and Al Di Meola. I had a pretty cool dream where I was a jazz singer, so I'd imagine that Miles Davis' [I]Birth Of The Cool[/I] was playing at the time. :p

I tend to listen to music while I'm going to sleep. It's easy for me to drift off to and sometimes I have some cool dreams.

Me too, Riva. I'll be pooped and then go to bed and lay there for hours. I've been reading mostly though. I'm re-reading Watchmen since I got half-way through and had to stop, but I'm already seeing the benefit of reading it twice.

Next I'm re-reading the Stand (the uncut one that's stupidly long) and then maybe some Kafka/Dostoevsky.

I tend to do that with music as well as books, so I just do something rather than staring at the ceiling.

The Stand is horribly boring and anticlimactic (I thought at least). I remember enjoying the story for about the first 3/4ths of the book and then thinking the last quarter was shiat.

Then again that was like 5 years ago.
