Get To Embrace the Corpses Bleeding if you want more of a thrashier sounding black metal or get Distant in Solitary Night if you want more of an atmospheric black metal. Those are the only 2 I have, but they are both great.

That's incredibly diverse, I'll try my best.
#1: What's the story morning glory?
#2:Never mind the bollocks, here's the sex pistols.
#3: Can't help you sorry.
#4:The Velvet Underground & Nico.
#5:Iron Maiden.

Maiden - Try Number of the Beast, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son or Dance of Death. Or Piece of Time. Or..

My only other advice there would be to forget the Sex Pistols, and listen to more worthwhile punk. Listen to the album if you really want, I suppose, but unless you see it really cheap, I wouldn't bother actually buying it.

recomend me some acoustic instrumentals, along the lines of pallar anders visa and acoustic medly by in flames

ToRidTheDisease 03-30-2005 06:51 PM

Can someone recommend me some black metal to get into?

Kage 03-30-2005 06:52 PM

My personal favorite Black Metal band is Emperor, but I'm not really an expert in that field.

Still, download Emperor's Into the Infinity of Thoughts

Bartender 03-30-2005 08:50 PM

Immortal - At the Heart of Winter
Grand Belial's Key - Judeobeast Assassination

..both are riffier black metal, if you feel you'd prefer something meatier sounding than much black metal.

Otherwise, check out Burzum's early stuff (his later albums are all synth), Mayhem's earlier stuff (De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, Live in Leipzig), Bathory (one of the starting bands for the genre; earliest stuff is really just thrash, starting to lean towards what would become the black metal style, but check them out anyway). Ask in the death heads for more sophisticated answers.

For starts, I'd sujest Immortal, Emperor, and Dissection. If you like these, I can give you some more kick ass bands. :thumb:

I'd personally say The Jester Race or Lunar Strain.

Lunar Strain is more death like melodic death, which I prefer, but overall I'd say TJR, especially if you're just getting into them.

wailingwonkey 04-02-2005 02:24 AM

I think it was a suggestion to listen to a band called "Noenum".

For Metal try checking out:
Dream Evil, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Pantera, Dragon Force

For Rock try checking out:
Extreme, Ugly Kid Joe, Grand Magus, The Wildhearts

Also try checking out The Pixies, Muse, Rage Against the Machine, and Radiohead.
