My Brand New songs =
Deja Entendu
Your Favourite Weapon
The Holiday EP
The Sony Demo's
The First Demo's
Some Acoustic stuff
The Safety In Numbers split (Only the Brand New songs)

I'll do the Alk3 now, then I'll probably go to sleep.
I'll upload any Brand New stuff you want another time.

EDIT : Alk3 stuff will be about 25 minutes. I added a cover of The Metro (Originally by Berlin), because when I got the demo's, it was with it. I either got a torrent, or from someone in the Yousendit thread here.

chumpradio 08-28-2005 07:34 PM

Alkaline Trio demo's
You're Dead
I'm Dying Tomorrow

hah i thought the metro was a cover of system of a down...they have a cool version of it too

Oz Rembrandt 08-29-2005 04:30 AM

I was on Dan's side, right on the barrier at Leeds, and they were one of the best bands I've seen live in my life! There wasn't as much crowd participation from them as I'dve hoped. I'll post the setlist once I remember it...

Yeah, they were superb. I got a 1 minute recording of part of 'All In Black' on my phone if anyone wants it, although it is really poor quality.

Mother_Of_Abominations 08-29-2005 04:41 AM

So, I take it they're good live, because they're opening at the MCR show.

Which is ****ing ridiculous! MCR have 2 albums, and the Trio have 6 albums, and are a far better band! MCR should be supporting them.

Thanks Chump those are awesome :thumb:

chumpradio 08-29-2005 07:38 AM

I'm on a quest for demos.
I have those, plus We've Had Enough and Fatally Yours.
I used to have All On Black, but that was years ago.

Bad Blood 08-29-2005 01:52 PM

At the Leeds festival, one of my mates met Alk3, he also hugged Matt.

Angry Balled Fists! 08-29-2005 01:59 PM

Who ?

Bad Blood 08-29-2005 02:19 PM

Pegg.

Lucky bastard

:upset:

Angry Balled Fists! 08-29-2005 02:25 PM

Haha, cool.

Sep 08-30-2005 08:29 AM

So I saw Alk3 live this summer. They were unbelievable. I also bought a T-shirt and Crimson for only 20 euros!

mook 08-30-2005 08:58 AM

I got my t shirt signed by alk3 at leeds, but my mate got it done for me cos I was too late, which sucks cos he doesn't actually like them.

Bad Blood 08-30-2005 11:05 AM

All of my mates that went said Alk3 was the best act there.

I'm not surprised, they are awesome live from what i've heard.

I can't wait 'til i go see them in November :D

Drop The Baby 08-30-2005 12:05 PM

alkaline trio were a long way from being the best at reading. They were decent but there sound wasn't great and they didn't play a good set list to be honest.

However they should be better at brixton in november

Yea when I saw them at Bamboozle they were good but not amazing. Then when I saw them again in a smaller venue they were a lot better. Better setlist, more energy, etc

Drop The Baby 08-30-2005 12:42 PM

yeah i can imagine how intimidating it must be for a band who still aren't actually that that popular to play on the main stage at a festival

I'm sure they'll egt into it a lot more in front of their own fans who've paid to see them especially

Yea. Like when I saw them at Bamboolze festival everyone was there to see My Chemical Romance and only a lot of the crowd wasn't really into Alkaline Trio. Also the stage was huge so Matt and Dan were really far apart.

poprocks&coke 08-30-2005 02:00 PM

If I met Matt Skiba I would probably do one of both of two things:

1. **** myself.
2. Cry. And keep crying.

*goes all dreamy*

God**** You!

I couldn't find any Trio t-shirts at Leeds that wern't Extra Large... :upset:

Angry Balled Fists! 08-31-2005 04:07 AM

How long will their gig be do you think ?

psychodelicmonkeyfromspace 08-31-2005 04:13 AM

i covered "sorry about that" once, i think thats a really nice song, im not really that in to them though. From what ive heared theyre cool.

Oz Rembrandt 08-31-2005 04:14 AM

I dunno. They've got enough material for at least an hour and a half to 2 hours, but I don't know if they'll play for that long

*fingers crossed*

Angry Balled Fists! 08-31-2005 04:39 AM

Is that how long they normally are ?

Untitled 08-31-2005 04:42 AM

Gigs are usualy about 1hr 15, 5 minutes encore, then 10more minutes playing. Expect for greenday, they was on forever.

chumpradio 08-31-2005 05:13 AM

I can play the Trio's cover of Halloween by Misfits. :D
I worked it all out last night.

Kif 08-31-2005 07:39 AM

Does anyone know who's supporting the Trio in the UK yet?

clearvision 08-31-2005 07:41 AM

Is it MCR?

I read somewhere that one was supporting the other in america, so MCR may support ALK3 in the UK?

I may be wrong.

Kif 08-31-2005 07:43 AM

Alkaline Trio supported MCR in the States, yeah, so I doubt MCR would be on this tour. Besides that, they've been here a lot this year already.

clearvision 08-31-2005 07:44 AM

Hmm they are playing a couple of gigs in october as i understand. So i thought they could tour with ALK3 then play a couple of their own gigs too.

But since ALK3 supported them it is unlikeley that they will drop to support for ALK3.

Kif 08-31-2005 12:03 PM

Crackout will be supporting them on the November tour apparently. I can't download any of their songs from their website because I'm getting the La Selle Records compilation, but if anyone wants to check them out then click below
