Would'nt have to get on her knees.... if you know what i mean ;) ANYWAY... GEESUS 13, man... |
[QUOTE=ThrashMaster]HAHA! I didn't know Death Angels Drummer was 12 when they released The Ultra-Violence. You learn something new everyday.[/QUOTE]
Amazing fact indeed. Already knew that though. |
has anyone here got anthrax's attack of the killer B's? i stole it off my mate and chucked it on... the first song was cool then no.2 'bring the noise'.. what the hell?!?! its chucky D from public enemy rapping over anthrax's music? i like hiphop so its not all bad... does anyone like that song or does everyone hate it?
p.s. bring the noise was in tony hawk's pro skater 1! |
keeping this thread alive...
why does no one ever talk about destruction or Kreator in this thread? |
Probably because no one has heard of them.
Two excellent bands, IMO. Kreator's first 5 are classics. Destructions first few and last few are/have been madness. ****ing Thrash! Sodom kicks some serious arse too! Favourite songs: People of the Lie, Total Destruction, Agent Orange |

I like it yeah.....especially when they play it live and John has to rap it. haha, he does a good job though. Oh yeah, we do talk about Kreator quite a bit don't we? I thought we did anyway. Love the vocals, even though it sounds like they are saying something different most of the time. Like on Riot Of Violence where he actually says "Riot Of Violence" it always sounded like "Why The Violins" to me. CLASSIC band though....apart from a few wank albums, including the one with Tommy from Coroner in. |
I thought Bring The Noise was on THPS's 2?
Survey - who do you perfer? Kreator, Sodom, or Destruction? |
Kreator easily. I expect Kreator will win this debate with Sodom coming second. All of them kick major arse though!

i was going to say that as well, quick change of subject, does anyone else think of iron maiden when they hear anthrax's song The Enemy? |
RIB and BBB are two of the great Thrsah records of all time, pwyp is the bomb, MoP was a fave of mine till I heard RIB and BBB. But I think the Best WAS OtM by VioLence
|
Death Angels Drummer was 14 when the first Album UV was released

Ok, Keator's first five albums are ESSENTIAL thrash! Destruction has put out a bit more than 5 albums of classic thrash, including three in the '00. Not to mention both bands EPs and assorted demos! Oh yeah! But seriously, Sodom is probably THE most underated band in the exsistance of the universe. They played blackened speed metal, and perfected it. Most say bathory started true black metal, but it wasn't Quorthon, it was Angelripper. They played thrash and perfected it. They released 10 full length albums and 5 EPs, and not a single one of them were bad. Perhaps the didn't quite reach the Pleasure to Kill/The Antichrist levels, but they are the most consistent band in metal, first even to the likes of Overkill. Yes sir, Sodom are probably the greatest.
Having said that, my opinion on this topic always changes, most of the time between Sodom and Kreator. And yes, Endorama was a shame. Veterlli could have done amazing things with Mille given the chance. You can just imagin if it was released in 1989. The pure force of Kreator's riffs with Coroner's leads. OOO MUMMA! |
Haven't heard Sodom yet, so of course I'm gonna go wi th Kreator.

On that "5 favorite songs" thread. a dude called "Metallica6915" posted. He is apparently in our clan. Go look at his 5 favorite songs though - top 4 are mallcore, 5th is CoF, not even one of them is remotely close to thrash.
Out. |
Yeah,I was wondering about that fäg...

Whadda ya wanna say K? (bad rhyme, sorry) What page is that guy's post for 5 favorite songs on? I wanna see this idiot. |
Never mind, I just saw him. Get him ousted. I may listen to some mallcore, but it's nowhere near anything favorite of mine. My favorite 5 thrash albums have changed since I joined though.
Anthrax - Among the Living Slayer - South of Heaven Megadeth - Rust in Peace Metallica - Master of Puppets Tie betweeen Slayer - Reign in Blood and Anthrax - Fistfull of Metal Oh, Girl-Playing-Bass, Darkness Descends would probobly be #7 on my list. |

I gave that idiot fair warning in another thread. I still can't believe his favorite song is Everything and Nothing by Mudvayne. Give me a freaking break. That song is nowhere near some of the stuff that the rest of us listen to. I'll bet if you asked him who plays these 5 songs, he couldn't answer.

Kreator
The following update was posted at KREATOR's official web site:
"The songwriting process of the new KREATOR album is slowly but surely taking form! Those who've already heard some material describe it as complex, intense, fast, violent and melodic." Commented KREATOR guitarist/vocalist Mille Petrozza: "Dear friends. Writing and arranging a new record is always exciting, interesting, painful and sometimes frustrating. Right now, we are producing demos, collecting ideas, [arranging] and [rearranging] stuff, listen[ing] to riffs, get[ting] excited about stuff and throw[ing] **** away. It's like doing a puzzle! We've got the rough versions of seven songs so far and the **** sounds ****in' brutal! Be patient, as soon as there's more details, you'll read 'em here first!" "If things work out, the cover artwork of the new record will be the realization of a long-planned project finally coming true!" continues the post on the band's web site. "KREATOR's agents are currently booking selected venues around the globe, where the band will present their newly designed light and stage set in the end of the year. Details soon..." :thumb: |
All I've heard from Kreator all the way through is 'Coma of Souls', good stuff, I should get into them some more. I heard some Morbid Saint recently, and those guys are pretty good!
|
ARgh, god ****. "...and Melodic" MiLLE!!!! KREATOR ARE NOT MELODiC!!!
|
[QUOTE=manuscriptreplica]heyyyy k'!s back!
whenever i make a thread i seem to get flamed, so i wont do it. kreator own. agents of brutality!!!![/QUOTE] Yeah, the reaosn why I've laid off this site is because of the slowdown, and because I got so frustrated that I can't seem to start this new thread I've been wanting to start for the last 2 weeks. I resorted to chilling out at the CHristina Aguilera forums while I waited for the problems to fix up but they still haven't so I decided to see how my clan is going and check if someone wanted to post this thread up for me. Lately though, I've been in a mood to pick up more Thrash stuff than Heavy Metal but I have no money since uni sucks so bad. What I ned is some sort of Thrash compilation. |
Yeah, the new subject I want to talk about is this - Listening to the wrong music in the wrong place/time.
Like listening to metal durig a funerqal or something. I wanted to start this post because I am listening to thrash at weird times and listen to soft **** qwhen people are willing to put up with thrash. |
