woo watching the dark knight.

:amaze: 04-10-2009 01:45 AM

great movie.

Aaron 04-10-2009 02:24 AM

I love the score to The Dark Knight. It's perfect, especially through a nice 5.1 system.

Raayl: I've written another seven tracks since we last spoke [am doing the score for a film]. Would be great to have your opinion on them when they're mixed properly.

Epidemechanical 04-10-2009 02:30 AM

im listening to the new mastodon album for the first time, and expecting great things after the immensely brutal skin flaying masterpiece that was Blood Mountain

its delivering so far. i read the various reviews from the review section, and the mixed reviews are put to rest by the relentless awesome-**** riffing mastodon is known for

br00tality dude

plus the vocals are a breath of fresh air on this album

:amaze: 04-10-2009 02:47 AM

what's their best album? i've got leviathan, and it's the only one i've heard.
what's their best album? i've got leviathan, and it's the only one i've heard.
id say blood mountain probably

although remission is also quality

all their albums are good. but you can easily hear the transition from heavy heavy heavy to softer and more thoughtful from their early work like remission to blood mountain. progresses with each album.

BM just had so many great songs. every single song is one you don't want to skip. its one of those albums that you have problems listening to in short bursts cause...well, every song is great.

the riffs are just sooooo devestating

Mr. Pickle 04-10-2009 02:56 AM

For guitar.

2x12 or 4x10?

:amaze: 04-10-2009 03:01 AM

all other factors equal, 4x10.

Sablate McNuff 04-10-2009 08:34 AM

I disagree. 4x12.

Spaceman Spiff 04-10-2009 10:56 AM

So I'm probably picking up a MicroKorg in the next couple days. Getting it used for $320. Sweet.

FunkMetalBass 04-10-2009 11:11 AM

Pretty sweet, dawg. I ended up not getting that RC-2. The guy just forgot to take down the CL ad. Twas lame.

k, so someone explain how the army works for me.

Do you like, sign a contract? How do living arrangments work? Are you gone for 6 months, then you get to stay home for 6 months or are you just always on call?

Explain away.

Aye, but this is the casual.

We speak of trains, pineapples, drugs and alcohol here.

DaveSavesTheDay 04-10-2009 07:27 PM

In other news, I'm going to be sick.

I just ate a huge order of chicken fingers, zucchini sticks, onion rings and deepfried jalapenos with liquid cheese.

It was delicious, but it was way too greasy.

BenJammin 04-10-2009 08:30 PM

So, I'm in Halifax, and my aunt and uncle are helping me put together a working record player, since the one I have at home is dead and isn't worth the money to repair.

So they're all like "Yeah, we've got some stuff we don't use, etc., etc. You're welcome to it."

We only had time to dig up speakers today, but I just got a bitchin' pair of Bose speakers. For free.

DaveSavesTheDay 04-10-2009 09:02 PM

Nice.

I just placed 45th in an online poker tournament out of 1800.
