Very good, both of them. I don't like the use of vocals (and what creepy, weird vocals) in horses but it's OK nonetheless.

if it was a professional choir with the sheet music it'd be nothing... some child's melody, sung note perfect

but as it is it's like all the free spirits and the loners and the 2nd placers in the world stood up together and said "the world is a terrible place but we can make it better"

ASMZ's vocals are what attracts me the most. They have feeling and that imperfection/bad vocals/whatever just makes it sound so much more real.

Neoteric you've probably only heard ( ) which is their most ambient release. You ought listen to some of their other albums like Aegdalsdkfy Bjyerakkdn and Takk because they have more song-based material.

I didn't like it, it just wasn't something I could get into.

[I]Takk...[/I] is probably Sigur Ros' most accessible album. More accessible, but just as beautiful.

for ASMZ, "He has left us alone but shafts of light sometimes grace the corners of our rooms" is the most standard post-rock and a good introduction to the different way in which they do things (movie: never made probably being my favourite song they ever did)

but if you like deep ends, get horses in the sky

just bear in mind whatever you're expecting

I listened to it on Saturday and it was annoying the hell out of me. Maybe I was just in a terrible mood, but I just found it to be really displeasing. [I]Saturday Night Wrist [/I]was awesome though and I listened to them back to back.

im a huge fan of mogwai, and that is the missing piece to my mogwai collection. ive heard parts of track 1, and i was blown away, i love it when mogwai gets loud.

Rosetta and Mouth of the Architect sound very stylistically similar to me.

Rosetta is solid. I still need the 2nd disc of TGS though.

I went to one of Russian Circles shows. It was pretty killer.

How about Helios. I just got their new album and I think it's really nice stuff.

Pelican is touring the US with Russian Circles. Ill be seeing them in March :cool:

Red Sparowes are also doing the States soon.

Word, one of the strongest releases of 2006. Dragonfly Across An Ancient Sky is a fantastic track.
