I thought Hidden Treasurers was discontinued

Facsimile 11-19-2004 04:05 AM
Dude, WTF are you talking about? The past two pages have been all Youthanasia-bashing!
I don't mean in this thread, I mean on metal boards. It really creeps me out.

ArcLite 11-19-2004 04:11 AM

I can't help but like Youthanasia. It was actually the first Megadeth album I owned so maybe that's why I like it. Yeah, it's not their good thrashy stuff that I also love but it has some catchy tunes on it.

Facsimile 11-20-2004 05:50 AM

I hate the riffs, I think they were written like this 'Hey, lets write some riffs, and lets go for the simple but heavy appoach. ... No, those are kind of good, add more crap to them."
Don't get me wrong, Youthanasia has its moments, like A Tout le Monde, among a couple of others, and parts of others, but overall, the tempos are the same in nearly every song, and its just a depressing album.

PoliticallyIncorrectMetalhead 11-20-2004 08:30 AM

I like the guitar solos in Victory and Youthanasia.

I always wanted to do this:

Megadeth Sucks.
Metallica Rules!
:chug:

This guy is obviously a fag for 2 reasons
#1 has nothing to back up his opinion
#2 "megadeath" and "to to"

it wouldnt suprise me if he has never heard a Megadeth song in his life....

sycochika 11-21-2004 08:40 PM

Mmmmmmm megadeth one of my favorite bands they just came here actually and I didn't get to go because it was a 19 plus show :'(

jaymz_is_god 11-22-2004 02:10 PM

I just bought tickets for Megadeth's second show on their European tour in Belfast. Can anyone tell me what the setlists have been like on the American tour?

Dylan S 11-22-2004 02:17 PM

When they come to Australia I fully hope the show isn't 19 + because I will be shattered.

metallicadrummer123 11-22-2004 06:46 PM

I just saw Megadeth last night in Winnipeg and it was awesome! Here's the setlist:

Blackmail the Universe
Set the World Afire
Skin O' My Teeth
The Scorpion
Wake Up Dead
Kick the Chair
Angry Again
Trust
Die Dead Enough
A Tout le Monde
Back in the Day (with Exodus)
Tornado of Souls
Something That I'm Not
Hangar 18
Of Mice and Men
Symphony of Destruction
Sweating Bullets
Peace Sells
Holy Wars

Thats not the right order and I probably forgot some but you get the right idea. So even though they played too many new songs and you couldn't hear Dave's singing very well for about half the show, it totally kicked *** and is one of the best shows I've seen.

Btw, does anyone know of a site where I can find the setlists?

kirk hammet covers up his lack of ability with an over use of the wah pedal :naughty:

i saw metallica live this year, and hammet was there weekest link, his solos at the start of fade to black and sanitarum gave new meaning to "sloppy", his bends were unforgivably out of tune :smash:

on wake up dead mustaine does pretty much all the leads
on peace sells, poland does the solo after the first chorus, and most of the final leads.
poland does the leads at the start of good mouring

as a rule, u can distinguish between mustaine and polands leads, because mustaine pics pretty much all of his ntes, were as poland has a much more "fluid" style

KillemAllforOne83 11-26-2004 09:42 AM

thanks a lot man. :thumb:

what is "fluid" stlye???

I think on Devils Island Dave does the first solo and Chris second.

When it comes to Marty, I can differ his and Dave's solos. But Chris plays a bit similar to Dave so it's kind of difficult.

I'd recommend you to get Peace Sells. It's much more interesting and fun to listen to.

I don't really like Rust in Peace but I can recommend you to listen to these songs:

Tornado Of Souls
Rust in Peace
Take No Prisoners
Poison was the Cure
-----------------------

Hangar 18 and Holy Wars are also good but they seem boring after listening to them for a few times. ;)
