Can you guys recommend some Manowar albums?
Kings of Metal is one of their finest along with Triumph of Steel.
Also what are some good albums by Rhapsody and Dream Evil?
For Rhapsody, I'd go with Symphony of Enchanted Lands or Dawn of Victory first. The former is the first album that ever got me to bang my head to violins. The latter is where they started to sharpen their sound with a heavier direction.

Steerpike 03-10-2005 05:22 AM

How do you think I feel? I live in America, but am too poor to see any upcoming concerts until summer. Not that it matters, because very few bands tour through Pittsburgh these days anyway.

Lord Abortion 03-10-2005 05:31 AM

I am somewhat of a Power Metal fan - I like Magic Kingdom, Galloglass, Dragonforce, Luca Turilli, Wizard, Rising Faith, Zandelle, Rhapsody, Icycore, Edguy, Pagan's Mind, Olmpos Mons, Cryonic Temple, Manowar, Concerto Moon, Burning Point, Dungeon, and Domain.

Sorry to advertise, but check out this link to a sweet forum:

It's just over 50 members right now, and almost all are from mx. It's great cause there's no n00bs or bad posters (due to the few amount of members), so click on the link and have a look around and hopefully register.

Who is it on vocals? I've heard the voice before but can't figure out who it is.

sensitiveorgan00 03-12-2005 11:26 AM

Nils Patrik Johansson. According to MA, he's also in Astral Doors and Wuthering Heights.

That’s the best complete Yngwie rip-off I've ever heard.

Stoic 03-12-2005 11:53 AM

any thoughts on KAMELOT?

sensitiveorgan00 03-12-2005 11:59 AM
That’s the best complete Yngwie rip-off I've ever heard.
THE CHORUS IS SO GOOD ARGHHHHHHHHAREHGHA!!!!!!

And for Kamelot, I have The Fourth Legacy. The title track is the best song the album. They're pretty good, I like their singer a lot, but sometimes the music can be meh.

ClericKevin 03-12-2005 12:07 PM

Fourth Legacy is a AWSOME song, the others are so/so  yeah thre a good band

Stoic 03-12-2005 12:15 PM

they're considered flower/power, right? I really liked the latest ANGRA, so I'm looking for some more melodic power

sensitiveorgan00 03-12-2005 12:19 PM

^ Yeah.
Also check out Manticora if you haven't. They're not flower metal, but shi.t some good fvcking power metal up your as.s.

Huber 03-12-2005 12:38 PM

When I first saw this thread awhile back, I bought a few PM albums. Now I love it. One of my favorite genres by far now.

I'm doing some amazon shopping to find a deal on a new PM album...

conniption 03-12-2005 01:09 PM

How bout iced earth? Theyre earlier stuff was power metal, and they are pretty good.

Mauled By Jesus 03-12-2005 01:14 PM

I discovered Dragonforce a couple of days ago when a kid in my computers class was playing some. I think they're amazing.

I'm gonna have to check out some of the other bands mentioned in this thread and get back to you.

coolidgeALL 03-12-2005 01:15 PM

coolidgeALL 03-12-2005 01:16 PM
