The God That Never Was. After that, get Like An Ever Flowing Stream.
Flip that if you want more something a bit more old-school. Both are exceptional. |
^Yep
On Cryptopsy, I like most of their work. NSV and BMF are equal and my favorites. |
I only have Like an Everflowing Stream. It's really good.
|
On a serious note, should I get an Unleashed album? And if so, which one should I start with?

They look like they should go on tour with the Kovenant or someone equally gay.

there's my scene cred bitch
The guitars were decent, the drums were bleh, your voice sounds like a clogged toilet drain. |
Mappy's actually got very good vocals.
|
Yeah, his vocals are great.
|
My vocals are better though.

Honestly, I was trying to be funny. fucker |
"Trying" being the key word. I didn't catch the humour.
|
Well you "deth heds" aren't notorious for clueing in.

I'm on a death metal downloading binge tonight, finally getting some Gorguts that isn't Obscura (yuck). I'm getting Erosion of Sanity.
|
Obscura makes me floorpunch even more than usual.
|
 gg Riva

And if the rest of you could stop airing your stunted senses of humour also, it'd make my job easier. :)

Wow, I leave for 5 minutes and something big happens. Damnit Jason, you're supposed to clue me in on this stuff.
Hey if anyone is in the holiday spirits, I have a link wishlist that includes anything from Gorguts and Gojira, and HSB's Deaf to Our Prayers. |

Any Gorguts in particular? I have all 4 of their albums (legally as well ).
EDIT: Actually, this is a particularly friendly blog for that need: http://thebestmetalalbums.blogspot.com/ |
Sent. Have fun with those.
@BRA |
Thanks Matt.
Deth: Matt delivered CD and TEoS, so yea.... |
He means TEOS, not sure where you got the 'R' there, heh.
|

Drum machine. |

Oh yea, I hit the r instead of the "e". Right next to each other, them damn keys. Didn't bother with "the". Fixed. |
I'm currently on my second spin through The God That Never Was and my first impressions are that it's really good, but I'm not a fan of the vocals. However, the riffs are absolutely crushing. Standout tracks were Shadows of the Mutilated, Time Heals Nothing, Autopsy, and Where No Ghost is Holy.
|
Dude, I fucking love the vocals on that album.

Same here. That's one of my favorite parts of Dismember. |
Phantoms (Of the Oath) is probably my favorite off the album. The harmonized lead in the song is the highlight of the album for me.
|
I'm sure they'll grow on me, tbh. They're really aggressive and have tons of force/energy behind them...
@SteveJosh |
The whole album has incredible leads throughout, and the melody is there without sacrificing much brutality or sounding wimpy. It's one of my favorite death metal albums for sure.
|
Phantoms (Of The Oath) is epic as ****. This album is killer. I'm glad I finally ended up downloading it. It shall be on repeat for many times to come. \m/:evil:\m/

Removing the bad jokes and poor insults from otherwise decent posts. |
I just remembered how bad the new Entombed is.
