Warning: GF problem ahead -

So I call my girlfriend last night and she was acting like a huge bitch. Just acting really stand-offish. I asked why she was acting like that, and she said it's just because she was really tired. I just shrugged it off, but then today she is still acting the same way, even though she claimed she is fine.

If something is wrong, she never wants to tell me. I have to keep asking and asking, and I hate doing that :/
Dang, well that's never good.

Also, I got contemplative and philosopher-y last night as I tried to sleep, and suddenly it hit me that perhaps the meaning of life--our purpose in life--is to find what makes us truly happy, because true happiness is what matters most in life. I realize that right now it's just a base theory, and you all can probably tear holes through it, but I think I may have something here.

I also realized today that I want to be a lawyer. However, I do not have the motivation (or money) to get through law school. So you understand the pickle I am in.

Definantly, man. That's why I started doing classes that actually interest me, such as art and music.

It feels good.

Well, good, but I can't help but wonder what you were planning on living your life like before you thought of this.

You could become a master criminal (pulling off jobs that cause as little trouble as possible to individual, regular people) in order to save enough for law school. And when you're a lawyer, your prior experience on the other side of the law may well come in handy. Good plan?

I could become a con man. I could ask the mafia for a loan. The possibilites are endless.
Well, good, but I can't help but wonder what you were planning on living your life like before you thought of this.
I hadn't really thought about it all that hard. I had always planned to live some kind of virtuous, selfless life because I was (and still am) obsessed with my "legacy" and how I will be remembered when I die.

EDIT: Also, the remake of Dawn of the Dead is really damn good.

Gee, I wonder why...

I also had a splendid day. Sorry to hear that you had a lousy one, high_voltage.

Dancin' Man 06-07-2005 09:09 PM

Well, I lost my election for Class president. On the brightside, all my supporters (about half the grade) decided with me that we would simply decide that the teacher who runs our class office had modified the votes because I am known for being someone who screws around a lot. OUr class president for freshman and sophmore year (he stopped running because he hates the teacher. He would win every year, hands down) was hated by this guy because he was extremely popular in an untraditional way, funny and screwed around. The girl in office for the last two years is well liked but basically a stupid girl in terms of how she approaches life. Hours of homework everynight, does what she is told always, always looks on the good side of everything. She'll do well in life, but somewhere along the line she'll hit a major roadbump and change. I think. She is built for success.

Anyway, after my denial rant, I lost and it's fine.

Steerpike 06-07-2005 09:10 PM

Back from my first day of interning. No news on hte Land of the Dead usher job, but I got to help a guy do a stop-motion sequence for a commercial.

I worked all day. But after, I played Ultimate Frisbee and won both games. And now I'm listening to my new cd's. So I had a good day too.

It's okay. :)

(I spent the whole school day in the god**** office doing nothing)

That's not necessarily a bad thing, but maybe you didn't explain it right

NP: the theme song from The Natural (one of the five best movie theme songs ever, I think)

What'd you do to get stuck in there?

Dancin' Man 06-07-2005 09:16 PM

What I meant to say is "doesn't ever see the bad side to anything"

http://www.myspace.com/thealphaandomega

finished 'A Building'

I still may raise the vocals in the second vocal section.

In School Suspension for continually agravating my PE teacher. :(

Haha, I know, but I just can't resist the urge to constantly piss her off.

Illmatic 06-07-2005 09:23 PM

What exactly did you do to get in-house suspension, anyway?

Dancin' Man 06-07-2005 09:24 PM

That sucks. I have been to the office once this year. Today for skipping study hall. I told the vice principal that I have one week left of school and I was sitting outside and he was cool with that so no punishment.

In other news, my study hall lady is a nazi and takes her low paying job way too seriously. I wish our school let juniors and seniors have free periods instead of study hall. Instead seniors *sort of* have free periods. Very bad system.

Illmatic 06-07-2005 09:26 PM

Our studies basically were free periods...I've never known it any other way.

Also, my school sucks at cracking down on skippers. I skipped school so much...it was so easy.

Dancin' Man 06-07-2005 09:31 PM
Haha, I know, but I just can't resist the urge to constantly piss her off.
Ha! A female gym teacher. IMO all gym teachers (of male gym classes) should be men who "almost made it to the pros" but suffered some sort of debilitating knee injury.

Gym class game until the end of the year - Ultimate Frisbee  that's my game.
Our studies basically were free periods...I've never known it any other way.

I have a feeling your's was larger. My highschool has 430 kids total and my grade is the smallest at 92. I've noticed that even the larger school a few miles away is way more lenient on skipping.

Illmatic 06-07-2005 09:35 PM

Yeah, mine was larger...when I was a senior there were over 800 kids, and about 180-185 in my grade.

Bartender 06-07-2005 09:36 PM

Big numbers :-/

Illmatic 06-07-2005 09:38 PM
What exactly did you do to get in-house suspension, anyway?
Did something right after she told me not to do it. (Jumped onto a mat in the gym)

BTW my high school holds 2000 kids.

magicbus 06-07-2005 09:42 PM

We had 474 graduating Seniors at our commencement last weekend. I think that means we have about 500 kids in my grade. I'd say I had about 2000 kids in my school too.

Dancin' Man 06-07-2005 09:49 PM

I think I would like a larger school. More ability to pick and choose who you associate with. On the bright side, my school get's a ton of money (was known for a while as the private public school in the area. No longer accepts tuition students because it was filling up so fast) so I have a lot of opportunities I might no otherwise have.

Illmatic 06-07-2005 09:50 PM

Wow, I lose big time.

Then again, magicbus goes to high school in Detroit Rock City. And High Voltage could be in LA or something for all I know.

I liked my school size though. It was big enough where you could ignore people you didn't like but small enough so that you could connect with people.

jpj 06-07-2005 09:52 PM

There are somewhere around 1100 students in my school here in wild 'n wonderful, smalltown West Virginia. There was almost twice that in the '70's when the steel industry was stronger.

Actually I'm in a small town called Davis with only one high school.

Who think's 'Tender should just ban that retard jazzfenderboy? He has made like 10 threads against the rules and he's still around? Why?

Also, the new Avenged Sevenfold album is amazing, it is very good...

People who doubt the album due to The Beast and the Harlot really need to check this album out, it doesn't really sound like that vocal wise. It has great guitar work though, fairly long songs (last 5 tracks are 7-9 minutes long and there is no track minus one under 5 minutes, which it is like 4:58 heh). Also there is a few songs with a string section and a bit of choir work. Strenght Of The World is a very epic song too, starts with a violin and string section and ends with a very loud string section. Also Strenght Of The World has a bit of a western theme too it, with the cliched single guitar chord on an acoustic strummed slowly, rattles and various other old western movie sounds...

Very cool album, I suggest for all of you to check it out, it sounds nothing like their other stuff, these guys are amazing musicians.

Illmatic 06-07-2005 10:36 PM

I definately think that jazzfenderboy kid should be banned.

Dancin' Man 06-07-2005 10:39 PM

I am falling asleep as I sit here. I also have a bugbite on my ear. Time for bed. Contact removal in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, removed. Night folks.

That's it?

Our class had over 520. I could have sworn your class was bigger than ours.

But I guess not.

Goes to show how much I didn't give a shit about my graduating class, really.

Illmatic 06-07-2005 10:44 PM

G'night Petey.

That jazzfenderboy was such a doucheback.

And I agree with Murder By Death

EDIT: Holy crap the dog is back. AH goes up in my book.

ArcLite 06-07-2005 10:46 PM

jazzfenderboy = average poster over on Ultimate-Guitar. I only go on there to read news real quick, and that's enough to see how dumb most of those kids are. Insane lack of intelligence and maturity.

heavy metal kid 06-07-2005 10:52 PM

jazzfender boy is back with another user name....beware of fenderjazzkid

magicbus 06-07-2005 10:52 PM

Jim, while you're around, I think I might be able to get Mr. Glynn to play Ultimate Frisbee with me and some other people. That would be sweet.
