what?
Yes but you also say you have to have soda that tastes good flat and warm.

Those two statements don't mesh to well so I ignored one and paid attention to the one that was retarded.

Riva 04-15-2008 05:10 PM
When you wanna take a swig, it's inconvenient to get up and grab it out of the fridge. Though my friend has one of those mini fridges with the plexi glass front that we keep canned beverages in.
So why don't you keep your bottle in the fridge or switch to canned beverages?

masscows 04-15-2008 05:10 PM

Because I generally have 2 liters by my side so I don't have to keep getting up, then if I run out no big deal I can just grab some smaller ones.

Sprite is decent flat and warm, even with some melted ice in it.

I think you just wanted to take a swipe at poor, innocent and utterly defenceless creaming soda, and thus invented this farcical story out of clothwork.

masscows 04-15-2008 05:15 PM

uh no, that actually happened

Mountain Dew is the best flat/warm soda so its really no contest.

But I'd still rather just drink water and take no-doze.

Mountain Dew makes me crash like no other, I never drink it at LANs anymore

Iluvatar 04-15-2008 05:17 PM

You are obviously a giant soda pussy then!

Yeah my sister's ex husband used to drink his mountain dew warm. Thats all he drank and people said he wouldn't be able to have kids. Then he had twins as soon as they started trying, lol.

Riva 04-15-2008 05:18 PM

Ok, so here's my quick-fix solution.

You can either switch to water, which never goes off and still tastes good warm
-------------------OR--------------------------
You can bring along some sort of drinking vessel, be it a cup, mug, stein, yard glass, to your next LAN party. When you get there, pour the desired amount of your 2L bottle of pop/soda/soft drink/fizzy drink/candy water into the drinking vessel, then place the remainder (in the bottle, remember) in the mini-fridge with the plexiglass front that you keep canned beverages in.

Identical or fraternal?

Deth 04-15-2008 05:19 PM

Soda is bad for you and diet soda tastes awful.

Solution: don't drink it.

Iluvatar 04-15-2008 05:20 PM

Isn't the "spermicide" in MD and other similar drinks so small there is really no real discernable difference in sperm counts

Dimmu Burger 04-15-2008 05:20 PM
Identical or fraternal?
Identical.

i understand why Riva asked you that.
if they were fraternal then there was a very good chance that there was some help on the female's side.

Angmar 04-15-2008 06:29 PM

I rarely drink soda anymore, tea ftw, and I don't even bother with energy drinks.

Many women who have problems getting pregnant have doctors/physicians inject chemicals to release their eggs. This often results in more than one egg being released during the same cycle, and the two of them getting fertilized on the same night.
Most modern fraternal twins are from this. My Mom says a bunch of her friends with twins went through this.

Oh I see. I think I knew that, just didn't know if it was fraternal or identical.

im so sorry, but yeah, the internet/tv desensitizes a lot of people. Also, some people just grieve differently.

Iluvatar 04-15-2008 06:35 PM

yeah im just listening to godspeed now and i feel better

its odd how good of a grieving tool music is.

Riva 04-15-2008 06:38 PM

When my half-brother died I was very sad for a week or so, but I never actually cried. I don't think that cheapened his death or the emotions I felt, I was just reacting differently to how movies like to depict grief. My sympathies to you, though, Iluv.

Well, a lot of modern multiple births are the result of IVF where the doctor places a dozen or more fertilised eggs in the womb to ensure that at least one will make it through to birth (the procedure being so expensive, you see). My mum used to be a part of a "Twin Club" with my sister and I, and she used to say that my generation was the last of the "true" twins.

But yeah, I was asking DB because, simply put, identical is the work of the bloke, whereas fraternal is the work of the sheila.

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 06:42 PM

desenitize is misleading term. It is merely the change in worldview

Iluvatar 04-15-2008 06:43 PM

its not misleading if you take a literal meaning of the word.

I feel more intelligent now, thanks!

As far as grieving, I think its a long process. I am still grieving for my grandmother, from over two years ago. I still think about the fact that she died before she got to meet my daughter and it really upsets me. Mostly because she got stuck raising her great grandkids because my cousin is a deadbeat and she would've been able to just enjoy my daughter without having to raise her.
