yea i agree. its not my favorite, but i would say i listen to more songs on that album than the other 2. i have like 6 songs on that albums i listen to as opposed to like 3-5 on the other 2. For the aMotion Cd = waste. I love the DVD though
Apc - Art rock...prog rock...something along those lines

I don't like eMOTIVE better than mer de noms or thirteenth step, but i just think it's too heavily critiscised at times.
I definetely agree. I've seen some horrible comments about eMOTIVE. But, to be honest, I love that album. I mean yeah Thirteenth Step and Mer De Noms are better in my opinion but eMOTIVE is definetely a great piece of work.

Adam Jones is GOD 05-31-2005 12:42 PM

I like aMOTION more than eMOTIVE. Paz's reworking of THe Hollow is great.

kurrpt 05-31-2005 12:44 PM

eh, i could listen to it. Im a BIG fan of the studio version, and I believe all the remakes are just worse. At least on the COVER Cd, it could be argued that they are better than the original

clearvision 05-31-2005 12:45 PM

/not got aMOTION :(

am i missing out?

Kage 05-31-2005 12:46 PM

I hated eMOTIVE.

DVD is awesome, videos and some rare MJK insight into his lyrics. THe CD has some moments, but is still pretty poor. Paz's reworking though like i said, is great.

kurrpt 05-31-2005 12:49 PM

id say CD, no big deal, DVD, good stuff :thumb:

Idiot Martyr 05-31-2005 01:07 PM

Right now I'm wishing I had aMOTION :upset:

kurrpt 05-31-2005 01:18 PM

Well he put the nail in its coffin when he compared it to Pink floyds varying versions of Another Brick In The Wall.

misunderstood 05-31-2005 01:54 PM

I've seen APC live twice and at both shows I was blown away. "The Noose" was beautiful and so was "3Libras". But of course, a fan favorite is always "Judith". They put on a great show. I saw them at the halloween show back in 03 where Maynard was dressed as "Shakes the Clown". I've also seen Tool live and though I'd pick Tool over APC, I must say that even their show didn't top the APC halloween performance.

As for eMOTIVE and aMOTION, I personally prefer eMOTIVE. I actually like the album very much. I don't listen to it as often as I listen to Mer de Noms or 13th Step but I don't think it's that bad of an album. I think it's one of those albums that you can't get into on the first listen, though. I had to spin it a few times to finally say "oh, I like that song" or "that's a pretty good song". Anyway, aMOTION was alright. I can probably count the number of times I've heard it on one hand. But yes, I agree that the dvd has some interesting stuff in there. The extra backstage footage is quite funny.

We're still looking for a drummer on Stinkfist, I think. If you want to do drums for any Tool songs, feel free to go ahead and do them.

We've actually gotten organized on it. We have three songs we're doing, Stinkfist, Sober, and Part of Me and a full lineup on most of them. I'll find the list and post it.

Stinkfist:
Guitars - Kage
Bass - JoZ
Drums - Remedy, Faith, or Sliptallica (?)
Vocals - letmypeopleho, or POSSIBLY Kage

Sober:
Guitars - Jake
Bass - Joz
Drums - Remedy
Vocals- letmypeopleho

Part of Me:
Guitars - kurrptsenate
Bass - JoZ
Drums - Remedy
Vocals - letmypeopleho

And of course, our mixer for all of this will be Ben, a.k.a. AJIG.

hmmmm.... i can easily pull off the song but theres electronics in the beggining and i dont have electronic drums.....besides that,i know EVERY tool song on drums. so if you dont mind the electronic beggining i could do stinkfist for ya no problemo.

Adam Jones is GOD 05-31-2005 02:09 PM

Well like I said before, ill be happier once I get my teeth into some guitar tracks :)

I scouted out some preamps today, its looking like £80 for a full set up to allow recording for me. So next month seems like an optimistic time
