I tied that this week with Melvins.

Txus 04-14-2008 09:48 PM

I can't pass 120 :(

Apocalyptic Raids 04-14-2008 09:54 PM

I don't think I've even passed 100. Highest would probably be like 80 or so.

Angmar 04-14-2008 09:55 PM

I think the most I ever hit was like 60, lol.

rasputin 04-15-2008 03:20 AM
idk, MDB gets pretty boring.
Although I'm a fan, I can agree with this statement. They have released a large amount of utter crap as well.

FatalEnergy 04-15-2008 03:22 AM

I've only heard the really early stuff and it's quite good, don't know about the later stuff.

rasputin 04-15-2008 03:24 AM
don't know about the later stuff.
The majority of it was pretty bad, but their most recent A Line of Deathless Kings was decent.

FatalEnergy 04-15-2008 03:26 AM

I get them and Paradise Lost confused sometimes, but yeah, both bands early stuff is great

rasputin 04-15-2008 03:35 AM

Paradise Lost's Gothic is good, and Shades of God is pretty enjoyable. I don't really like any of their newer stuff.

pate 04-15-2008 07:04 AM

The later MDB stuff is great. I could do without the early stuff, and all of PL's catalog.

rasputin 04-15-2008 07:30 AM

You just had to be different, didn't you pate. What don't you like about Paradise Lost? (not their new sound, their early death/doom stuff)

pate 04-15-2008 07:58 AM

I don't like death/doom, except Saturnus.

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 07:59 AM

and ND.

pate 04-15-2008 08:01 AM

They don't really count, except their early stuff which I'm not big on anyway. :p

rasputin 04-15-2008 08:02 AM

ohok.
To me, the Novella Reservoir was hardly doom. I haven't heard any of their earlier stuff though.

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 08:04 AM

Later material is definitely where its at.

edit: I haven't listened to them in awhile. I'll have to put it on after I finish this Mammatus album.

pate 04-15-2008 08:04 AM

Damn right.

You can't stick them with a single genre, unless you use something ambiguous like "Dark Metal"

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 08:06 AM

hahaha dark metal

pate 04-15-2008 08:07 AM

That's what they call themselves.

I just call them "Good Music"

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 08:08 AM

Well, Opeth calls themselves death metal, and called some tracks on GR Black metal. They are neither of those genres.

pate 04-15-2008 08:09 AM

WoR is jazz.

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 08:16 AM

Funkadellic Slamgore Jazz.

pate 04-15-2008 09:17 AM

Progressive blackened two-step with bebop and deathcore influences.

Nostalgia 04-15-2008 09:18 AM

Wrath of Ragnarok is under like 10 genres in my ipod. The ones I remember are:

Porn
world music
jazz

Angmar 04-15-2008 09:22 AM

Kosher Bagel Hut Post-Metal should be one of them.

masscows 04-15-2008 09:32 AM
Kosher Bagel Hut Post-Metal should be one of them.
Once I put each song under its own ridiculous iTunes default genre. That's probably where your **** comes from.

gmoneyguy 04-15-2008 09:40 AM

are your albums free on iTunes?

pate 04-15-2008 11:07 AM

Er, I guess it wasn't iTunes default genres, it was Audacity default genres.

Nostalgia 04-15-2008 10:26 PM

Where the **** is Jondur.
