Now it's just a matter of time until it just withers off! I'll be glad to get this virus off of me. I had to pay $30 bucks for the treatment because OHIP doens't cover warts unless they're on you're penis. Blasted hand wart...
styler 09-20-2005 09:37 PM

rockindrummer 09-20-2005 09:42 PM

Double Bass Jim 09-20-2005 10:29 PM

Win A Rabbit 09-20-2005 10:43 PM

well to anyone interested, i got someone to go to grad with me. she's a friend of mine from out of town, i didn't realize she wanted to come, but my other friend told me that she invited her, so i asked if she'd go with me.

i just went upstairs and went on the bike for half an hour while watching donnie darko. man was i sweating. after half an hour, i laid on the couch and watched the rest of it, occasionally dosing off for 5-10 minutes. that movie gets better for me each time i see it. and i (temporarily) lost my case for my "planes, trains, and automobiles" dvd. i remember seeing it less than a week ago, but i've looked everywhere i can think of and i can't find it. it'll pop out one of these days.

well i'm gonna head off to bed early tonight, i've been exhausted all week so far, i need some good sleep.

Plan B. 09-20-2005 10:45 PM

Me too, so tired.

Imma watch Conan and wind'er down.

styler 09-20-2005 11:29 PM

Double Bass Jim 09-20-2005 11:32 PM

PowerStamp 09-20-2005 11:53 PM

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ok..
Today was supposed to be our show at El Torreon. I've even been pimping it out here and there's like absolutely no way any of you would be there, so imagine all the LOCAL and online/local advertising we've done.

Go get singer and guitarist at 3, all head to my house, 4 to 5:30 practice, 5:30 load up gear, 5:45 leave, we get to El Torreon around 6PM and see no cars.
A sign on the door reads (and I quote) "Show tonite canceled"

:( :( :(
I get home and an email from Terry Taylor was sent to me around 3:30 saying that the show was cancelled. Had I ONLY checked my email before practice we could have practiced longer and made a new song and not wasted our time.

:(
So pissed.
We were so excited for this.

styler 09-21-2005 12:03 AM

thats the craps dbj...night obelisk, your right rockindrummer, and thats also the craps powerstamp

Double Bass Jim 09-21-2005 12:11 AM

Ahhh man sorry to hear... that SUCKS.

Seafroggys 09-21-2005 12:15 AM

Phone calls should be used for more urgent situations.

For example, an e-mail would be appropriate for if it was cancelled at least two days in advance, but for being only several hours before hand....some people only check their e-mail at night, etc......so it was bad on the manager's part.

PowerStamp 09-21-2005 12:17 AM

well not really.

Terry Taylor's not the manager. He plays bass for Nodes of Ranvier and does booking with his company Hunt Industries. He lives in Nebraska?(I think. Not in Missouri I'm sure of that).
Still sucks though

Sultan of Smoothies 09-21-2005 12:18 AM

Hey Guys, I've been lurking for a few months just thought i'd do the whole intro thing. I'm 18 and I live in Oregon. I've been beatin the skins for four years although only seriously for two so I'm not great. I'm a big fan of all the early blues influenced harder rock/experimental stuff (Zeppelin, Cream, umm crap i forget the other) I also really like prog rock/metal, well really i like anything with a good backbeat to it... Other stuff i enjoy is: wasting time lurking on MX, B&W photography, food. I have a Tama Rockstar in Standard sizes. I would post pics of my kit but i don't have a digital camera yet :upset: Well I'll shut up now.

The Sultan

rockindrummer 09-21-2005 12:19 AM

Dude that sucks so much man. Are they going to reschedule the show?

Seafroggys 09-21-2005 12:19 AM

^^^Hey man where in Oregon do you live? I live a tad southeast of Portland, outside of Damascas, Boring, and Gresham.

Glad to see a familiar site, don't see too many oregonians in here, if ever.

SWEET! another oregonian. I live in Newberg (south of PDX on 99w)

Seafroggys 09-21-2005 12:31 AM

Yeah don't really go south of Portland on the westside too much, but I know where Newberg is.

I just graduated from Centennial, going to Clackamas Community College, where do you go/have gone?

I'm a senior in highschool and I'm homeschooled. I'll probably graduate at christmas though (gotta love homeschooling).

PowerStamp 09-21-2005 12:36 AM

I doubt they'll reschedule it. Shattered Realm is coming back in November headlining (we're not on that one haha), we're playing there Oct 6th, Cast Pattern is playing there Oct 8th. Only bands not coming back as of now are Suffocate Faster and the other local, who just don't have anything there right now.

I'm asking about a few shows.
Oct 2nd in Lawrence (30 minute drive): Every Time I Die, The Red Chord, High on Fire
namely haha :D

Tesrson16 09-21-2005 12:59 AM

Can someone please tell me the name of the song being played on the Mike Portnoy Moderndrummer Festival 2003 highlight clip?
