The Pit has always sucked, i used to check it out once upon a time but it just sucked...

its an oar

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 01:54 PM

I used to hang around the R&M forum.

Mainly the Metallica thread. But when the same topics kept coming up I got sick of it and found out that the Bass Forum were sooooo much better.

fatbandit 03-30-2005 01:56 PM

I find a lot of people in R&M to be boneheaded... I don't frequent it very much nowadays. That's the last time I make a valiant attempt at defending Korn...

neal_672 03-30-2005 01:57 PM

Psh R&M is full of dicks in general. Alt & Indie is the next friendliest forum after this one :thumb:

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 01:58 PM

It's hard to defend Metallica.

People don't seem to realize the brilliance in the writing of their songs. Even St. Anger was better than nearly all of the punk albums out there nowadays.

Mitchell Royce 03-30-2005 01:59 PM

Hey-ho, how's everyone doing today?

Ohh boy do I have a surprise for you people coming up. Hopefully by the end of next week. I can only give away so much: My bank account is no longer fat and bulging but instead as trim as an anorexic 12 year old.

fatbandit 03-30-2005 02:00 PM

If St Anger had a different drumtrack, and half the songs were shorter, it would be amazing. Solos wouldn't go amiss, but that's what makes it St Anger. People look at what isn't there with that album instead of what is.

That, my friend, is a matter of taste. I could recommend a few punk(OK, probably post-punk) that are really cutting edge song-wise. Ever heard of The Walkmen or Ten Grand?

neal_672 03-30-2005 02:01 PM

I like Metallica :thumb: but it's all death/black metal in that place.

You spent a lot of money then Mitchell? But i'm fine thanks, how are you :thumb:

Dieforitall89 03-30-2005 02:01 PM

Hey guys.

neal_672 03-30-2005 02:02 PM

The Walkmen are awesome :thumb: i'd always kind of considered them more Alt/Indie in all honesty though.

fatbandit 03-30-2005 02:02 PM

My dad was waiting outside of the rehearsal rooms we use in his car to pick us up, and he got stopped by three 'disreputable women' asking him if he wanted any services

neal_672 03-30-2005 02:02 PM

Hey DFIA

Mitchell Royce 03-30-2005 02:03 PM

pretty good actually. I just got a Marshall Guv'nor off ebay and have been tinkering with it the pasty 2 days. Lotsa fun and this should be it effects-wise for a while unless I see a Digitech Whammy for a good price.

 He said yes i assume?

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 02:04 PM

Ya I was just confused with the no solos.

I didn't realize it at first but after I was like................ wait a minute.

And if Lars just changed out his snare. The drums were kick-*** though.

Why does everyone have to go selling everything JUST as I spend all my money for my birthday?

:upset:

What you selling? If theres anything I really want, I can cancel my order for my phone (birthday present)

fatbandit 03-30-2005 02:04 PM

Hehe, just saw the OC this morning, and... the Walkmen were on it! Hehe. They were okay from what I heard. Nothing grabs me enough to make me think they'd be what I'd listen to, but if anyone has an album to send me to change their mind? Their drummer had a weird looking setup for his kit, and he sounded interesting.

tim_commerfordism 03-30-2005 02:05 PM

hey all

cliffburtonrules 03-30-2005 02:05 PM

I'm so behind on posting

Thread is moving too fast.

What's not good?

fatbandit 03-30-2005 02:08 PM

My dad said no, Neal, what do you take him for? :amaze:

Also... the Some Kind of Monster radio edit is shorter, and has an ace drum track, fixed snare etc. However, it misses the intro, and the chant in the middle... :( I wouldn't want them to revisit it though. Its like saying 'Hey, Metallica! Rerecord Justice, because we can't hear the bass!'

Ahhh, i see. Well by that I thought you were giving gear away to fund your bank account because its so trim as an anorexic 12 year old. But you could "only give away so much"

Im excited! What is it? :D

Heres a question: Whats your favourite mx buy? (as in, say, someone might have bought your dream custom bass and you were amazed)

Mine would be jp's '75 jazz bass

Jamie 03-30-2005 02:11 PM
They shower though.........
So they have sex with a dirty 40 year old, then go home, have a really good shower, then get back out on the street? I really dont think so...

sorry, i just have large dislike for prostetutes. Its the lowest form of social heirarchy

The DVD that came with the album is kick-***.

It's them rehearsing all the songs. Trujillo is amazing :amaze:
