Yeah srsly. "Scene pants" here = girl pants.
here its if you wear any other type of pants than giant unnecissarily baggy pants, youre wearing tight pants.

SantaDuJuan 10-12-2006 08:30 PM
If "scene pants" in canada are baggy then thats exactly the opposite than here.
baggy pants are for hipsters.
real scensters wear tight pants and bandanas.
LOOOK AT MY MYSPACE PAGE.

We don't have a scene here, we have a community. There are about 20 punks in London that wear the full 70s gear; studs, crazy £30 hair, pin piercings, ripped clothes, braces etc, and I'm not on first-name terms with any of them. Then there's the punks who are punks at heart, but in reality listen to hip-hop, folk, jungle, r'n'b, noize, prog, etc. Punks like me.

smokersdieyounger 10-13-2006 05:34 AM

Big up the punks who love hip hop!

When I clicked that, I got the Korps Marinir. Woo for random wiki pages!

coheneran 10-13-2006 08:48 AM

Lol, where've you been the past couple months?

I keep clicking it, but so far all I've got is flight sims, model airplanes, some italian composer, American Sikh Defence League or something, and human blood components, nothing cool.

Where is this gig??? I wanna be there

Jon 10-13-2006 11:11 AM

I need a load new jeans, I only have one pair that are tight enough :(

Apparently Topshop does some good cheap ones.

If you bleach blue jeans heavily enough will they eventually go white, or just acid wash?

The Underworld in Camden Town. Propagandhi's touring Europe though, so check their site to see if they're playing nearer to you.

This Tuesday, Defiance, Ohio and King Blues are playing in London as well.

Wrong thread mate.

Jon 10-13-2006 11:19 AM

Nah, top of last page people were talking about scene pants.

Wow. Some girl in my grade died last night. She had epilepsy (and had seizures once or twice every year at school), and I guess complications from a seizure caused her death.

I really don't know how to feel. I knew her, but in all honesty, I didn't like her. She wasn't mean, but just very awkward. It really sucks that I know someone my age who died, though.

Jersey's Best Dancer 10-13-2006 03:10 PM

The lead singer of The Dead Pets is now te singer for Lost City Angels. I think it took a decent band (LCA) into being a great band. Yeah, I like the Dead Pets better, but atleast he's still singing for a good band that'll be in the states all the time.

I had that happen twice earlier this year. I knew both of them, like I had seen them in class, but never talked. The first died of lupus and the other commited suicide. The second I really didn't like because he was one of those potheads who likes to let everyone know they are a pothead, wearing pot shirts all the time and such. He was pretty good at playing bass though.

It sucks that they died so young though.

coheneran 10-13-2006 07:18 PM

Late Night PartyPoker owns.

Anxious 10-13-2006 08:34 PM

Some kid in my class comitted suicide last year, he was in my class. I never talked to him, but he sat 3 desks above me in history. It was very surreal and sad.

Rise Me Up 10-13-2006 08:45 PM

Eww. The last person I know that died at my school was in like 4th grade.

Eliminator 10-13-2006 08:57 PM

I don't know of anyobody my age that has died here recently.

coheneran 10-13-2006 09:03 PM

Man, everybody dies in America.=(

I'm glad I live in the UK, where the only people who die are the black boys on mopeds that police think are dangerous.

Eliminator 10-13-2006 09:05 PM

Moped profiling ftl.

POINTLESS5448 10-13-2006 09:40 PM

my friend sarah committed suicide almost a month ago. she had a twin sister too. i cant even imagine.

Ghostfire3 10-13-2006 10:29 PM

Two years ago when I was a sophomore, 2 kids at my school died on the same weekend. Pretty sad.

AIRIC 10-13-2006 10:55 PM

No one has died here recently but tonight at the football game this kid was so drunk. This kid carried him off the bleachers on his shoulders and then they took him to the hospital.

(r)evolution 10-13-2006 10:58 PM

so a buddy of mine went to see the circle jerks yesterday. He said keith morris was completely drunk and stumbling around on stage going "grr I used to play for black flag". I wish i had gone.

TakeWarning 10-14-2006 03:01 AM

One of my best friends died about two years ago.

Pretty sad and shocking, but life goes on.

Jessizzle 10-14-2006 08:03 AM

follows trend:
my best friend/ cousin died when she was 12. she got cancer when she was 10 and spent the rest of her life in the hospital. thats no way for a young girl to live her life. Allthough we had tons of fun running around the hospital and playing barbies. Theres not a day that goes by, when our family dosnt think about her. My Nanu was also burried beside her when he died. my Nana will be on the other side.

asdf 10-14-2006 08:39 AM

I know three people who died this week, and one of them was a kid, not even two years old, who died of cancer :(. He was my photography teacher's son.

The other guy who died killed himself in jail. I never actually met him, but he greatly affected one of my friends (In a bad way). It turns out he did yet even more terrible stuff, got arrested, and killed himself.

And one of my closest friends has cancer. She's having a really hard time dealing with the fact that she has a 10% chance of living past 5 years. :(. So much more has happened to her, yet she's an incredibly smart, caring, and funny individual. It's ****ing unfair.

I'm sorry for bringing this thread down :(

coheneran 10-14-2006 08:41 AM

My mother's sister, her mother, and her brother all died in the same year (2005), and har father died about 15 years before that. She has no more family left, but us.
