perriwinkle 09-25-2007 12:00 PM

ATM 09-25-2007 12:23 PM

I've heard they aren't that good live.

That sucks.

CatfishJones 09-25-2007 01:29 PM

i could've seen Elvis Costello playing with the NC Symphony, but i passed up on it.

Glitterati 09-25-2007 04:41 PM

I could have seen Elliott Smith but I couldn't find my shovel.

Zmev 09-25-2007 05:21 PM

perriwinkle 09-25-2007 05:30 PM

ATM 09-25-2007 05:34 PM

I've got no homework :-D

Just watched the first half of Grindhouse

Liebensaft 09-25-2007 08:15 PM

New House was pretty damned good. They're still going strong with the new episodes.

Thanks 09-25-2007 09:21 PM

I had to write a bassline for a melody in a chorale style, write a poem, and finalize the notation of my chance piece for violin for tonight's homework. I guess I'm a creative genius.

dei 09-25-2007 09:42 PM

I had to put the kettle on for my grandmother. I guess I'm never going to get laid.

perriwinkle 09-25-2007 09:44 PM

I think I'm going to pay something like $75 to see Neil Young.

YourBiggestFan 09-25-2007 10:50 PM
I think I'm going to pay something like $75 to see Neil Young.
I've heard he's still worth it.

Then again, the person I heard this from would probably pay to see Neil Young sit in his house and read a book, so who knows.

Zmev 09-26-2007 12:06 AM

Neil Young lives 5 miles from here.

And I've seen him live. With Sonic Youth and Paul McCartney

You seem like a good kid. Just be assertive. All like: "Gimme dat quim, bitch."

Robert Crumb 09-26-2007 01:39 AM

I mean, sometimes you gotta take the pussy. You know, like Pepe.

Glitterati 09-26-2007 09:50 AM

dei is putting the pussy on a pedestal

Anxious 09-26-2007 11:35 AM

BMSR were pretty fun last night. The vocoder vocals work much better live than they do on record. They also had a projector playing 70's softcore porn juxiposed with Bill Cosby clips and pictures of galaxies fading in and out which was pretty well done. I talked to the bassist for a good half hour before the show, cool guy.

Neoteric 09-26-2007 12:06 PM

Sounds cool Anxious.

Today sucked.

Neoteric 09-26-2007 01:41 PM

I had to take a lot of stuff out of my living room and into my garage cause my parents are getting it painted tomorrow apparently.

asdf 09-26-2007 02:17 PM

Today I had 6 hours between classes as my "Thought and Writing" didn't happen today. The teacher is meeting one on one with every student and I already went.

So I just wrote a paper due in a week while sitting in a coffee shop. Now I'm pretty much out of things to do until 6 o'clock.

Eliminator 09-26-2007 02:18 PM

They didn't do any vocals live when I saw them. I was pretty surprised at how young they are.

They were showing Richard Simmons exercise videos behind them which was awesome.

The guy doing the vocals, Tobbaco, sat in a dark corner off to the right, behind his amp. One of the girls who played synths looked like she was no older than 14.

And all of them are major nerds.

Too bad only around 50-60 people showed up, it was a fun show.

Doctor D. 09-26-2007 02:46 PM

"Tokyo" by Soundtribe Sector 9 is way too awesome.
