i have all my songs burned onto about 10 or so DVDs and stashed away secretly incase the riaa decide to prosecute me

I doubt RIAA can do anything outside of the US

I have all of my music on two harddrives except the stuff for the radio station which is only on the bigger hd.

I have my 200 GB of music in my hard drive and it's safe :cool:

my collection has grown so slowly without the DU

and I have no idea what these alternatives I'm hearing of are

I can't be bothered backing my **** up. I should though.

Every time I get 700 mb worth of stuff.. be it music, programs or anything eles.. it goes on a cd, just in case something happens.

I have an external HD that I back up every month or so, only take a half hour or so. Cost me $70 and gives me piece of mind.

If I lost everything on my external hard drive I wouldn't be that hard done by. I own cds of a large amount of the stuff I listen to regularly, so I'd just copy those. I probably wouldn't re-download about 50% of the stuff I've got on there too. So basically, I can't be bothered backing it up.
