Whats the new GTA like? Is it worth borrowing off a friend once they've finished with it?

InMyPlace 10-29-2004 04:35 PM

Hell yeah! it's addictive but awsome, I've been playing since 12noon and i'm only 11% complete.

Untitled 10-29-2004 04:51 PM

Untitled 10-29-2004 05:03 PM

I seen that last night, they play a special song.

I watched ITV live at reading 04 at like 2am last night it was sooo good.

They showed, placebo, razorlight, taking back sunday, the hives, and some others, i forget who though.

Adam Jones is GOD 10-29-2004 05:06 PM

yeah, that was cool, better than MTV2's version. Placebo were great, and even jurassic 5 got my ears going

Untitled 10-29-2004 05:10 PM

Yeah they was Ok i thuaght, placebo are great. I want there greatest hits. Taking Back Sunday were good, the lead singer seems prety shy in the interview though. And NO GREENDAY

/learning the killers on bass.

/thinks that name is better suited for death metal.

Adam Jones is GOD 10-29-2004 05:27 PM

Which song? Killers are great, no doubt about it. Bit of *** shaking music for a change.

I got soul, but im not a soldier...

Brew 10-29-2004 05:29 PM

I've seen Placebo twice, both times at Reading festivals.

I recorded the Mtv|2 Reading highlights onto my Sky+ box, The Streets were great when I saw them, they were having a great time on stage.

Adam Jones is GOD 10-29-2004 05:31 PM

For anyone who is interested....

[QUOTE=SpectrumGuitarist]That's right. It's not about poking holes in people. It's more of a psychological mark that is to be left.

Hope he reads it, any Ed like situation = cool

Untitled 10-29-2004 06:06 PM

Oh right, i thuaght you was downloading reading or somthing. Itd be best for me to go Leads, or the Move festival, there nice and close.

Adam Jones is GOD 10-29-2004 06:09 PM

Download is a quick drive away from my town. Plus being next to East Midlands Airport (well, Nottnigham airport now) we get all the foreigners fly in for it, including South Africans

South Africans > rest of the world.

Reading would be tempting, Leeds seems tamer every year. And am I being thick when asking what is the Move festival?

Untitled 10-29-2004 06:17 PM

Move is one thats done in the Old Trafford Cricket groud, its only at night though i think, this year stereophonics and the cure headlined.

Leads would seem better then leads, its more low key i think and stuff.

Adam Jones is GOD 10-29-2004 06:24 PM

Guessing that a typo.

It will all depend on who would be willing to drive where (I never want to drive, everyone else can for me). But download was so cool last year that as long as the line up is good, ill be returning there again. But reading/leeds always has a strong line up...so undecided, least I have a while to think about it.

Rihgt, im gonna lie in bed for a whoile to play GTA: SA, like 50% of the rest of the world.

Untitled 10-29-2004 06:25 PM

I ment reading is worse then leads, or sumet.

Bye.

Brew 10-30-2004 05:35 AM

On topic of festivals, me and two friends are planning on going to Download, Reading, Glastobury and Bloodstock in 2005.

Its going to be an expensive year for me.

Untitled 10-30-2004 06:10 AM

Going to Download, leads and glastonbury in one year id love, i not hered of that other place though.

Brew 10-30-2004 06:38 AM

Bloodstock is the Uk metal-festival.

This years headliners were Gamma-Ray and Children of Bodom.

It mainly focuses on more Black/Power/Death/Obscure metal bands that the ones in the Mainstream like Download and Reading festivals.

Next year it should be at an outdoor venue, possibly Donington which will kick arse.

On a side note, I went to the Ozzfest at Donnington in 2002

Untitled 10-30-2004 06:40 AM

Download is at donnington right? that other one isnt my thing though.

Untitled 10-30-2004 06:49 AM

Cool. There should be more north west based events, theres only realy Move, and you could say leads, but thats yorkshire.

Brew 10-30-2004 06:56 AM

I wish I was alive for the Monsters of Rock festivals that happened at Donington back in the 80's, they own Download so much.

bobbass4k 10-30-2004 07:17 AM

I'm gonna go to leeds this year, I'm going back to york for the summer and leeds is 45mins drive away, 30 mins on a train, and I have a free train pass, so I can get there and back for free

Untitled 10-30-2004 07:20 AM

I wanna go, i might arange to with people.

Untitled 10-30-2004 07:24 AM

Reading has sold out already

bobbass4k 10-30-2004 07:28 AM

wow, thats quite amazing

I didnt go to leeds this year coz it was sh*t bill

The rasmus, Lostprophets, The streets, 50 CENT?!?!?!

It was a pretty bad bill

I know some people who went JUST to see green day, apparently it was the best show of their career
