Haha, that's cool.

Wish I could wear something like that, but, I don't smoke the pot.

AndreTheHyena 02-05-2007 12:35 PM

I'd take a girl who hugged me over a girl who smoked pot anyday.

Question, punx:
If you have pyramid studs in a leather jacket, and then pull all the studs out, does the jacket look like shit? Are studs in leather pretty much a permanent thing?

Flagjacket 02-05-2007 02:28 PM

I asusme it'd look kidn of oaky, but it'd probably feel like **** since it'd be scratchy and not insulating.

DaveToopes 02-05-2007 03:32 PM

Excellent job methinks! Some of the stencil/screens I see on here look like total s'hit, but you genuinely did a good job! :thumb:
Just because someone is a vegetarian does not mean that they can't wear fur and/or leather. Not eating meat and not buying fur and/or leather products is veganism.
Yo if you're vegetarian because of moral qualms with eating animals then I think it would be logical not to use animals to cover your skin as well.
I asusme it'd look kidn of oaky, but it'd probably feel like **** since it'd be scratchy and not insulating.
Why would it be scratchy and not insulating? It's Ramones leather jacket, not Wilson's Leather leather jacket, so it's pretty insulating, and the studs are only through those collar flaps and shoulders, not the actual body of the coat.

I think I'm just going to trade it to this stoner punk rock kid I know for a four-track recorder anyway. I'll leave the studs in as incentive.

Flagjacket 02-05-2007 06:31 PM

Well my not insulating i mean i figured since you had poked holes in it....

I agree. But that's not necessarily what other people think.

DaveToopes 02-05-2007 08:48 PM

Weirdos.

Thanks!
The stencil was just made on printer paper and covered with tape.

Ohhh, I want that shirt but my stencilling days are over.

Do you always have your hands in your pockets, or is it just an MX thing 'cos you don't want to reveal some abnormality of your manus?
Yo if you're vegetarian because of moral qualms with eating animals then I think it would be logical not to use animals to cover your skin as well.
213.

That's a great plan. And then when you're done with that, you can trade it for an 8-track and a first-print DK vinyl.
I give hugs too.
Passing a joint around a room is almost like a hug to everyone in the room.

Oh, I remembered something re fur:

If a coat has trimming on it (like those trendy puffy winter coats all the chavs seem to wear), that's usually cat and/or dog hair, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Flagjacket 02-06-2007 10:04 AM
Passing a joint around a room is almost like a hug to everyone in the room.
Not quite.

Passing a joint to your friends is the act of handing a 'joint,' which is a rolled marijuana cigarette, from one person to another for the purposes of smoking it to achieve an intoxicated state.

Giving a hug is reaching around a person with both arms and embracing them.

Not quite.

Hugging is the act of giving a "hug", which is a combination of the 1st party shifting body weight, moving arms to partially encompass the 2nd party, gripping the 2nd party non-threateningly and placing the 1st party's head cheek-to-cheek with the cheek of the party of the 2nd.

What this symbolizes is an exchange of greeting, a show of love, solidarity, thanks, appreciation, etc.

When I pass somebody a joint, it symbolizes my willingness to share with them something I find enjoyable, and so shows my enthusiasm for making sure they have a good time, thereby imparting a measure of love to them, not unlike giving a hug.

DaveToopes 02-06-2007 11:15 AM

All this symbolism and objectivity is making my head spin.

Flagjacket 02-06-2007 12:04 PM

Eran read way too deeply into passing a joint.

Uh no. I just had my hands in my pockets.

coheneran 02-07-2007 11:01 AM

I see. Oh well, at least I got to use the word "manus" in context.

Do you guys get neighbourhood watch in the US?

Flagjacket 02-07-2007 02:03 PM

Yes we do.

Jono9119X 02-07-2007 02:05 PM

what do you mean by neighborhood watch?

Flagjacket 02-07-2007 02:20 PM

Do you even live in America?

we have signs that says we do, but in all honesty, we don't. we have a sign out in my parents front yard thats says we do, and never have they been confronted about being in or having any input on the whole neighborhood watch thing.

coheneran 02-07-2007 04:39 PM

Lol. My street recently got a sign, I wanna do something about it. Like, maybe a real nice looking sign that says Spy On Your Neighbours with the little Neighbourhood Watch logo.

I think it's hilarious that some environmentalists are targetting road industry-linked companies and organisations with letter bombs, and the cops are convinced it's a terrorist group of "disgruntled motorists".

Danger Bird 02-07-2007 08:35 PM

One time I almost made a shirt with a picture of the shadowy guy on neighborhood watch signs.

Then I decided it was a stupid idea.

Those bomber jacket type dealys? I actually think they look rad, but I wouldn't be caught wearing one..Theres people stupid enough to wear them down here year 'round(South Florida), coldest it'll get is 55, if that, during the coldest nights.
