Mornin' people!

good rats 03-29-2005 04:22 AM

Gday gday, good to see someone finally come into the Casual to keep me company.

fatbandit 03-29-2005 04:25 AM

Well, I'm kind of dipping in and out. I want to be doing something, but all I have at the moment is interent forums like this. :( Not that you aren't tremendous company, good rats.

good rats 03-29-2005 04:28 AM

 Go out and do something then. Steal candy from some kids, then report back here and share the goods.

fatbandit 03-29-2005 04:31 AM

Nah, its cold and wet. I want ice lollies, kids don't eat ice lollies in the cold and wet (I would though, but the not paying idea seems good, but altogether I have been foiled by the lack of kids  ) And anyway, I wouldn't want to leave you all alone. Especially on the brink of your 700 ;)

good rats 03-29-2005 04:33 AM

What do you mean 700 POSTS!!!

fatbandit 03-29-2005 04:36 AM

Hehe, congrats on that dude. Dear me, I was practicing some Metallica songs for one of my bands, but I've played and listened to them so much I'm absolutely sick of them. Poo. Can I be bothered to get my bass back into E standard from Eb?

Anyhow, good easter, good rats?

fatbandit 03-29-2005 04:54 AM

Leave me then... :upset:

I need food so badly... There's no food in the house. I'll have to go to town to get some, but I can't be bothered, and don't entirely want to.

kilian 03-29-2005 05:11 AM

Hello Dudes!

assuming there aren't girls around here like always. :)

*looks around.. it will be this time that I only greet the dudes that there are 5 girls who start to yell: DISCRIMINATION at the same time*

fatbandit 03-29-2005 05:13 AM

I'm not a girl, but...

DISCRIMINATION!

gaslight 03-29-2005 05:30 AM

You can eat me while I'm unconscious as long as its like a python, all in one piece so I can be regurgitated later and go on with my day.

Jake_badass_bassist 03-29-2005 05:31 AM

I couldnt be asked reading the first 3310 pages.Could some one tell me what this is all about????

fatbandit 03-29-2005 05:35 AM

You have as good an idea as us! :D

Seriously though, just read the first page, and possibly a couple of other random ones. We basically talk crap and get to know each other a bit better. Community spirit and all.

gaslight 03-29-2005 05:35 AM

If you read one page you've read them all.

fatbandit 03-29-2005 05:36 AM

And gaslight, you disappoint me... I'm not hungry enough to eat a whole gaslight at once, so I can't have any. Darn, the quest for food continues...
I couldnt be asked reading the first 3310 pages.Could some one tell me what this is all about????
You'd really have to read the whole thing to get a good idea of it.

zink182 03-29-2005 06:01 AM

hey did any one read the thread: Atomicant custom (hopefully)..
It's a photoshopped blueprint of a really cool fender.. It's very well done

fatbandit 03-29-2005 06:22 AM

Yeah, it is rather cool. I want a custom. Only Jamie really knows what it looks like, and I can't draw for toffee, or Photoshop, so I probably won't be able to show the world. Needless to say, its pimped!

fatbandit 03-29-2005 06:27 AM

5 string fretted,
35" scale 24 frets,
Dull Silver hardware (if you know the kind... Its what's on my BTB atm),
Lightwave Bridge and Pickups with the iceTone piezo system,
Bubinga, Walnut and Wenge 5 piece neck-through,
Swamp Ash body wings,
Quilted Maple Top,
Light Blue LEDs (11 of) in fret dot inlays,
Gotoh sealed tuners,
Rosewood fretboard,
Teal/Turquoise finish (need to find a picture of the finish)
Locking jack input,
Dunlop Chrome Straploks, flush with body.

The body will be a lot like a BTB I think, though the headstock will take a lot more inspiration from James Hetfield's natural finish Explorer.

I may go with a premade neck, as JP has them, instead of the stupid 5 peice neck, heh. I also have very limited wood knowledge, so its all subject to change, woodwise!

good rats 03-29-2005 06:31 AM

I'm back! That bass sounds pretty sexy Fatbandit. And yes, I had a pretty good easter. The easter bunny wasn't that good with me this year, I didn't get a whole lot of eggs. But I kicked his ***.

fatbandit 03-29-2005 06:36 AM

Yeah, I only got one egg. The pricetag isn't as sexy, haha. And it'll be a battery monster, needs 9V batteries for the LEDs and Lightwaves!

good rats 03-29-2005 06:38 AM

You planning on getting it done by JP, or some other custom bass builder man person thing?

fatbandit 03-29-2005 06:45 AM

Definitely JP (when it happens). He's cheap, the quality is suposedly awesome, and he's an all round nice guy, easy to talk to, friendly, and I want to support his business, because I know he's put a lot of work into it.

fatbandit 03-29-2005 06:46 AM

Wow, I guess we pretty much rule this page, eh good rats?

good rats 03-29-2005 06:54 AM

Yea I know, where is everyone? Everytime I come back on, everyone seems to leave. :(

good rats 03-29-2005 07:25 AM

And now it seems that Fatbandit has gone.

good rats 03-29-2005 07:31 AM

Well, now I'm gone. Cya MX.

gaslight 03-29-2005 07:32 AM

Speaking of specs, if I ever get a custom bass done, I'll want chrome frets instead of the bronzy/brassy colour. They can do that right?
