I don't know about offices or whatever, but in high school we always got a day off for it, either the Friday or Monday, whichever was closer to the actual day.

Hm. I can't actually remember if I got days off....

oh well. I have a long winter break, reading week and I end in April, so I can live without a day here and there.

I just like working those days and getting paid double time.

That's not bad at all then. I'll be going to school next semester, all the while living at home of course. My parents don't mind me mooching till I have a full time job and am done school.
