Not bad but I feel like I've heard that hundreds of times before.

Aaron 01-03-2010 04:03 PM

Someone recommend some grind to me. I like Dillinger and Locusty stuff, but I don't think I really like the traditional grind thing.

Jaundice 01-03-2010 04:06 PM

so, which one are you asking for?

If you want Locust type stuff try Holy Molar and Genghis Tron

Discordance Axis, Pig Destroyer and Magrudergrind are popular favorites for traditional grind

Aaron 01-03-2010 04:07 PM

I've listened to PD in the past and hated it, but it was ages ago. I guess I'll try them again with Holy Molar [I listen to GT too].
Someone recommend some grind to me. I like Dillinger and Locusty stuff, but I don't think I really like the traditional grind thing.
If you like Dillinger (though I'd call them metalcore), you should check out Gun Kata (especially Gun Kata, they're kind of similar to old Dillinger), Ed Gein, The Motel Bible, Oktober Skyline, Daughters, The Sawtooth Grin, As The Sun Sets, Kissy Face Fashion Faux~Pas, Tower Of Rome, See You Next Tuesday, Flesh And Blood Robot, The Great Redneck Hope, The Color Of Violence, etc.

I'm into that type of stuff lol.

Holy Molar isn't quite grind, it's basically Locust with less metal and more weirdness.

And yeah definitely get some Sawtooth Grin like mappy said

Moon Flavor 01-03-2010 04:13 PM
Someone recommend some grind to me. I like Dillinger and Locusty stuff, but I don't think I really like the traditional grind thing.
I would have to say Sawtooth Grin fo shizzle.

Also, Yog is like a carbon-copy of Calculating era Dillinger, but they're so good at it that you could hardly consider them a ripoff.

Also, check out Hunab Ku, they're a ****ing ridic very unique creepy weird thing.

Granted, none of these bands are really grind in the strictest sense but who cares

edit: beaten by mappy's post. PLEASE aaron, don't only look at mappy's post as half of it is good and half of it is... mappy music

Holy ****ing list batman. Thanks dude. I think I label things different sometimes. I feel like name dropping The Number 12 Looks Like You right now for some reason, lawl.

witchxrapist 01-03-2010 04:14 PM

Yeah, Number 12's first album fits in with that stuff, minus the odd screamo and metalcore tracks.

Aaron 01-03-2010 04:16 PM

I really like that Like A Cat track. Do you know what band I ****ing hate? Heavy Heavy Low Low.

witchxrapist 01-03-2010 04:17 PM

Like A Cat is such a good ****ing song. Epic video.

Aaron 01-03-2010 04:17 PM

Ffffffuuu I'd love to fight their singers.
