I might be exaggerating idk, gigs are a poor measure because if I encoded at lossless that much music wouldn't be nearly as much as if I encoded at 128k

I have about 400 CDs as well. I have I think 95GB of music on my music HD but it's definitely in need of a serious clean-up.

I have the 60GB iPod video. Might pick up the new 160s or 120s or whatever they are; not just so I can carry an absurd amount of music, but so I have another way of backing it all up.

yeah it's not that important to carry 160 GB of music anyway

it's more about how convenient it is to have all the music in the same place

I really like having an iPod for my car, and work. It is so much easier to have music library with me and I don't have to carry around CDs.

Having an iPod that size would be helpful because I don't keep any music on my laptop.

I'm hooking my music drive onto my AirPort at home, so if I'm home my library will be wireless accessible, but yeah.

I have all of my music on my PC, and iPod. When I transfer up to MSU I am going to need a laptop, so all of my music will go on there too.

On the topic of iPods, I think they are really detrimental to the music industry. It puts more stress on single songs than albums, and to artists (real artists), the album as a whole is usually more important.

Speaking of albums, although it won't be scrobbled this week, I am listening to The Alchemy Index like non stop.

I can't stand not having a full album. I think most people who are truly into music feel the same way regardless of MP3 players or not.
