Are there any drummers here?
Here.

MRDuCran 11-29-2005 02:37 PM

Are you an actual drummer or just a guitarist that plays drums?

AA-12 11-29-2005 02:44 PM

Well, I play guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard all with the same amount of seriousness.

MRDuCran 11-29-2005 02:54 PM

Ah cool. I was just wondering to see if there was anyone that could play Bodom stuff on drums.

The main problem for me would be the double kicks, I can do about 160 but not for that long, I seriously doubt I could hit 190 like Downfall, Warheart etc.

You lie!

AA-12 11-29-2005 03:21 PM

I've never really tried, mainly because of the fact that I don't really like their drumming, heh.

Hmm, Ben?

It has been (benlawlz) a slow day today. I recently got back into Gunz Online and have been owning people nonstop.

Shadows 11-29-2005 07:39 PM

Gunz Online?

Yes, it has Ben a slow day (lawl for goodpunz).

It is now time for me to work on your tab. Good day to you.

Toaster 11-29-2005 07:40 PM

This thread is quickly degenerating into a "Necronomicon and SF inside joke thread". :upset:

http://gunzonline.com I used to play it all the time, then people start being idiots on it and hacking, etc. I decided to try again, and now it is much better.

Thanks for tabbing that :)

MRDuCran 11-29-2005 07:43 PM

Post the tab in here.

Shadows 11-29-2005 07:45 PM

I will when I'm done.

No problem. That game looks pretty cool, I'll have to come back to it. Now it's time for me to go play guitar and tab your song. Goodnight to you all.

repcak 11-30-2005 12:16 PM

though the "best" live-album i've ever heard is nin-and all that could have been.
2# tokyo warhearts

AA-12 11-30-2005 01:42 PM

Best live album ever is either Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison, or any Dream Theater live album.

My concert story for those interested:

So I show up to a local Zia which doesn't sell tickets, but I figured I'd check anyway, I had a few hours to kill, so what the hell.. right? When I pull in, I notice a huge line outside. I figured "ah cool, I guess they are selling tickets!" so I get in the back of the line. I then realized that I didn't know if the line was even for tickets or not, so I asked the guy in front of me. He's like "Dude, Bodom is here. We're all waiting to meet Bodom." After my giant erection went away, I went into my car and grabbed Are You Dead Yet?.

2 hours later, I'm standing a few feet away from their table. Man, I didn't think I'd get nervous but I did. I walked up to the drummer (excuse me for not knowing names) and was like "H-H-Hey man, you rock." and he's like "Thanks man, I appreciate that". He could tell I was nervous. To the bass player: "Hey man, welcome to Arizona." "Thank you! How are you?" "I'm good, how are you?" "I'm good man, a little hungover but good!". Alexi: Alexi wasn't in the greatest mood and I don't think he smiled much the entire time, but oh well. I said Whats up, he kind of nodded his head and said hey, that was it. The keyboard/guitarist were pretty cool as well, big smiles on the guitarist. He looked really pleased that we came to meet them. Anyway, off to the show.

Amon Amarth was pretty sick. I was never really into those type of real deep and powerful vocals, but they put on an excellent show. I really enjoyed them. "Death in Fire" was so awesome.

We waited for Trivium. Beforehand, I had the attitude of "Ehh, Trivium kind of blows but oh well." Jesus Christ was I wrong. I really, really, really, really liked Trivium. Matt was talking to the crowd a LOT which is something I really liked. When "The End of Everything" came on, I knew they were going to be good. I saw Matt on the side of the stage stretching and strapping on his guitar and stuff, it was pretty cool. They came out and tore into Rain. In between songs, he was talking to this kid who was wearing a mask and flipping them off or whatever about why he was too metal for them and how ugly he was. It was hilarious. At one point, Matt tells the entire crowd to quiet down. He tells the kid he has 10 seconds to explain why he's too metal for Trivium. When his time ran out, Matt says "Sorry, the correct answer would have been 'What is Manowar'" HAHA! He also encouraged huge moshpits and whirlwind circles. He said that our show (Phoenix, AZ) had the best whirlwinds and we were actually the best crowd on the tour yet. He probably said that to everyone, but oh well. To anyone else that saw them, did he say that to you too? Just curious. He also said that they were going to try something new and that they had never played this before and then tore into "A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation" which was wierd. I thought they played that everywhere, but I guess not. All solos were very clean. They were very, very good live. Deff. a live band!

As Bodom hooked in and stuff, their intro song was some 80's retro thing, I don't remember which song though. During their set, Alexi would feed everyone beer while they were soloing or whatever. He's pretty violent on stage, which was cool to watch. He was extremely clean and smiled a lot more than he did at Zia. He looked like he was having fun. At one point, someone threw a big stuffed frog on stage and he goes "It looks like our friend here needs a drink, what do you think?" Needless to say, the crowd went crazy so he gave the frog some beer. His solo/keyboard solo was awesome. Drum solo was good, but nothing compared to Arch Enemy's. Overall, they put on a great show. But I dunno man, Trivium was exceptionally awesome.

That's all. It was an awesome night. Buy your tickets. You won't be dissapointed.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 11-30-2005 04:45 PM

Awesome im Jelous :-P im glad u had a good time tho. YOU GOT TO MEET BODOM!!!

Shadows 11-30-2005 05:25 PM

It was a great show, but Trivium's live act did nothing for me. Matt Heafy's determination for the crowd to beat each other only caused me to lose further respect for them.

Other then that, the other two bands were amazing.

Shadows Within 11-30-2005 05:57 PM

the only thing i like about trivium is Corey hes a pretty good guitarist and the fact that hes from maine (like me), althought we just whooped his home teams *** at football championship 2 weeks ago.

AA-12 11-30-2005 06:18 PM

I'm obsessed with the drummer mainly, but I really love the whole band.

MRDuCran 11-30-2005 06:18 PM

The only thing that makes me jealous is meeting Alexi, as I'm going to see them soon anyway. To have just a nod and no smile would be disappointing though.

Okay, I'm considering seeing these guys live. Which songs do they usually play live?
