The Crusade sucks compared to Ascendancy

I used to think Trivium was really cool, then I realized how boring they are, how bad at screaming Matt Heafy is, and that they stole two of their major riffs on the Ascendancy album (TITLE TRACK FFAS) from Hacksaw To The Throat.

If you think they're good, listen to A Love Ends Suicide/Lets Fighting, it's the same style, done right, without trying to be thrash.

Honestly, I used to like Trivium until I realized how boring and generic they really are.

A lot of us went through that phase. :(

ascendancy is awesome.

as pussy as it sounds of me, i think they should have went more towards the singing then the thrash end of the spectrum. i like them a lot.

i think the chorus in pulling harder on the strings of your martyr (i think thats the song) is awesome.

I liked alot of songs on Ascendancy. Then something happen to them. They must have become smug or something with how much attention they got from it that when they started making a new album, they didn't try as hard and just took a $hit in the way of quality.

But no matter how many people want to bitch about the band, the first two albums are decent, and I still listen to them.

anybody heard of Misery, Inc. (yes another band with misery in their name). their new album is ok, but their previous album is pretty good,

Misery Inc. is cool. I found them not too long ago. Not something I would listen to all the time though.

My favorites are still Zao (esp. Liberate Ex Inferus) and Still Breathing.

This thread definitely gives me a few others to look into.

Best metalcore band is The Acacia Strain.

Scarlet are a close second, but not sure if they're exactly metalcore.

If by best metalcore band you mean most overrated deathcore band, with the most boring live show ever, I definitely agree.

I do like ...And Life Is Very Long and 3750 though.
