They did more then come through. They far surpassed everyone's expectations.

pate 03-09-2009 01:41 PM

Do you have a link to the Bobby interview? A friend wants to hear it.

ATM 03-09-2009 01:45 PM

I can get you one. I'm at school right now though.

I'm working on getting Unorthodox and Wino's new band in the station now.

They are the first band to play. They feature Earthride's current bassist and the old drummer from Woolly Mammoth

Nostalgia 03-17-2009 05:58 PM

As to whether it's released? This what Tom said - I'm assuming you've heard it, but for those who haven't:

2009 marks the 20th anniversary of While Heaven Wept, and I find myself in the same place that I was almost two decades ago emotionally and spiritually around the time Dream Wytch evolved into WHW officially. Naturally, music and lyrics are flowing like a river as of late, and it has been decided that we'll record and release a brand new single as soon as possible this year - to be made available immediately upon completion via the Internet for download as well as in CD and vinyl formats.
Following the release of the single, we will finally complete the "Vast Oceans Lachrymose" album and get it out as soon as humanly possible based upon Cruz Del Sur's release schedule.
Discussion has begun regarding live performances, and within the band this is perhaps the greatest focus for the future, with many exciting ideas on the table that will hopefully satiate all of you who have been waiting so patiently for us these last few years.
Many of you have inquired about merch lately, and there will absolutely be several new items made available towards the latter-half of the year.
Finally, as news develops, all websites and resources will be updated accordingly.
Personally, I'd like to thank everyone who has directly offered their support during my time of tribulation - I can never truly express how much I appreciate it. Further, thanks also to everyone who remains patient and supportive of WHW - I genuinely hope that you'll ultimately feel that the waiting was worth it!
Forever Weeping...

Booked Unorthodox to play my show on April 3rd :D

pate 03-25-2009 01:34 PM

Cool.

Anybody else stream the new Candlemass yet? I quite like it.

Tyler 03-25-2009 01:38 PM

I might check it out. How is it, stylistically? I really don't like Rob Lowe but I really like Candlemass, so you can see my dilemma.

pate 03-25-2009 02:02 PM

It's a lot faster than KOTGI. His vocals are similar to the ones on KOTGI, which I'm not a big fan of.

FatalEnergy 03-25-2009 05:28 PM

New Candlemass is good, but I think the new Black Sabbath will slaughter it.

pate 03-26-2009 06:59 AM

Of course.

ATM 03-26-2009 07:33 AM

Isis are coming here in May! Sweet.
Isis are coming here in May! Sweet.
Where did you see show listings? On their site/myspace, the only show they have posted is in in Tokyo.

ATM 03-27-2009 07:56 PM

It's posted on the venue's site.

Sat May 30- ISIS $13 Adv/$15 DOS Mainstage 9:00

silkforcalde 03-28-2009 12:23 AM

why's Isis in this thread? neither stoner metal nor doom metal. just another boring Neurosis clone that will never write an album even remotely as good as Through Silver in Blood.

That said, I love doom metal. Morgion and Mourning Beloveth are particularly awesome.

rasputin 03-28-2009 01:01 AM

mourning beloveth are awesome, morgion are eh

Txus 03-28-2009 08:54 AM

neither of those bands are good

Phototropic 03-28-2009 06:30 PM

new isis album is crap

this thread used to interest me a lot, now i don't really like any of the bands people mention

I do listen to what people suggest but it just doesn't grab me

apart from neurosis, isis, electric wizard and across tundra, i wouldnt say i listen to any doom

rasputin 03-28-2009 06:52 PM
neither of those bands are good
mourning beloveth are one of my favourites :(

the2stranger 03-29-2009 07:31 AM
