Pink Floyd > The Beatles.

Other than that, you're struggling.
That's a stretch.

lunch998 10-20-2004 06:13 PM

Miles Davis>The Beatles. I had to switch genres.

BludgeonySteve 10-20-2004 06:14 PM

We can be cell-mates!

lunch998 10-20-2004 06:17 PM

On a side note my new jam band experiment is going to be called the Grateful Floyd in a stange attempt to combine Pink Floyd and the Grateful Dead into one super-band.

BludgeonySteve 10-20-2004 06:18 PM
We can be cell-mates!
I call top bunk!

We all have different music tastes and obviously we all like bands more than the Beatles. But when it's said and done they're the band that eveyone agrees was the greatest ('cept for pink floyd ;)).

lunch998 10-20-2004 06:18 PM
Why not? Floyd at their best (WYWH), are better than The Beatles at their best, imo, and I'd definitely rate their songwriting higher, without any doubt at all. The Beatles were more consistent, but Floyd had more unbelievable moments.
Yea I guess the argument is that even if Floyd's best is better, the Beatles had more bests. I might actually prefer Floyd though.

Creedence Clearwater 10-20-2004 06:18 PM

maybe I should incorperate ">" and "<" and "Bob Dylan" in a post.
maybe I should incorperate ">" and "<" and "Bob Dylan" in a post.
Beatles>Bob Dylan> Other Music.

Or maybe the Beatles are greater than or equal to Bob Dylan.

Creedence Clearwater 10-20-2004 06:22 PM
Beatles>Bob Dylan> Other Music.
Bob Dylan + Roger McGuinn + Robby Robertson > The Beatles

lunch998 10-20-2004 06:22 PM
Still I say no...you 3 shall be cell mates
But as a general rule, Gilmour > most other guitarists.
lunch998 10-20-2004 06:24 PM
Why of course!!

But as a general rule, Gilmour > most other guitarists.
True that. We might have 2 guitarists though, so one of them can be Jerry and the other can be Gilmour. I'll have to combine into 1.5 drummers, so I'm still working on my third arm.

gmoneyguy 10-20-2004 06:25 PM
Why of course!!

I agree with that.

Creedence Clearwater 10-20-2004 06:25 PM

If only I was older and could have seen them Robby and Bob live, In bootlegs something is lost (and not just sound quality)

Creedence Clearwater 10-20-2004 06:26 PM

Yep I know how that feeling goes.

By the way, the thread reached 11,000 posts.

Creedence Clearwater 10-20-2004 06:34 PM

Just out of interest, who has bootlegs of their favourite artists, how many etc?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-20-2004 06:36 PM

Anyone herd Old Crow Medicine Show?

gmoneyguy 10-20-2004 06:36 PM
That I would like to see, who's the number one guitarist Garcia or Gilmour?
Technically, I'd say Garcia, but Gilmour has more emotion. Though both have quite a bit of talent in the opposing field.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-20-2004 06:48 PM

Its not that good. Its Apirl ? 1967, Beatles playing with Floyd and they were were soooooo stoned when they made it they probabaly dont remember doing it, Download Soulseek like I seid you can get some super rare stuff.

Creedence Clearwater 10-20-2004 06:50 PM
Technically, I'd say Garcia, but Gilmour has more emotion. Though both have quite a bit of talent in the opposing field.
You forgot to mention the impact of the inverse of the square of Gilmour's sometimes Telecaster playingness.

Badmoon 10-20-2004 06:51 PM

I mentioned everything I kind of believe, post you own beliefs. Skank.......

Badmoon 10-20-2004 06:53 PM
