You can't get better than their hair in the '80s. :)
|
Last time I saw them live(in April) James' hair was super short.
DK AS IN DEAD KENNEDYS, if so i shun you bitch (smack*) |
my god ppl ........... you talking about HAIR!!!!! WTF?????
|
Id like some serious responses on which cd do you think Kirk excelled the most on.
Definitely Ride The Lightning. Ride The Lightning, Creeping Death AND Call Of Ktulu all have solos in excess of 50 seconds (including something like 1 minute 40 for Ride The Lightning) and Call and Creeping both have Sweep Picking which is a technique ONLY used in these solos. No other Metallica solos have sweep picking except Leper Messiah and Fade To Black, but they only reach that speed in Creeping and Call. All three are great solos which really show you his talent and creativity. Kudos to Kirk for these beautiful solos. |
i dont like you, i dont think they suck cuz they cut there hair, i think when they had hair they sounded better, make sense? if not make sense of it bitch
Says the Operation Ivy fan to the die-hard Metallica fan |
Lars looks retarded with both long and short hair so there you go.
Punks look retarded with mohawks and their patched up jeans, so there YOU go. EDIT: Oh wait, flamed the wrong guy...****! |

(And didn't some songs have sweep picking on And Justice For All?) |

Does anyone else here agree that S&M was amazin consideringg what they did. i had my doubts about it, but when i heard it, well, just shows metallica are probly one of the geatest bands in thw world if they can pull that off.

Yeah, Metallica got so much **** for the S&M album, I though it was badass...Especially the version of The Thing That Should Not Be and Outlaw Torn. |
Not true.
1) 'The Thing That Should Not Be' is in one full step down. 2) Most of the (Re)Load material is in 1 half step down. 3) St. Anger is in Drop D Down 1 Full Step (CGCFAD)
No, The Thing that Should Not Be is in Drop D. Sad but True is full step down. About half of the Black Album is half step down. St Anger uses various tunings, including a 7 string. |

Dont worry about it :)
|
Meh, drop D, full step down, whatever. Point still stands, it's not in standard.
And, a 7 String? I though they just used Baritone guitars? |
really??!!
well sir i just wanted to know what kaden is....because if it is your "band" witch is what it sounds like to me, you know you are steeling a bands symbol rite there....you have your band name with the symbol of and very good band Dream Theater....so just get back to me on that one sir

He has talent and creativity because he can do some slow 3 string sweeps ? |

Guys I'm so happy right now. I've almost perfected the Fade To Black outro. It's so cool. This is only like my third solo so I'm heaps happy. It's not as hard as it sounds. What do you guys think of its difficulty and how long did it take you.
|
Fade to black is a ****ing awesome song where did u find the outro solo?
|
No, The Thing that Should Not Be is in Drop D.
Sad but True is full step down. About half of the Black Album is half step down. St Anger uses various tunings, including a 7 string.
sad but true is full step down, but pretty much the rest of the album is standard tuned .. have the book open right now i'd say the black album is their best all rounded album, every song on it is a ****in hit .. not like master of puppets where the first half outweighs the second half outrageously. despite many many people's opinion, i like load and reload and ......... wait for it .......... st anger. it's definately different and no where near as good as any of the others but still good music in it's own right. i resent the fact that they had to stoop to playing in drop c to get the mad, mean sound and kirk's lack of solo, and THAT drum noise .... other than that it's alright. |
No. Master of Puppets is a strong album throughout.
|
... so if it you knew it wasnt me then you wouldnt have flammed him
Exactly. You're avatars looked the same for some reason... |

Good job. I think the first solo I ever learned was the first solo for Master of Puppets.. |
