i've had them all for a while now. getting them made me realize how awesome it was that there is clean singing on Focus. imo my favorite demo by them is the 1992 one. From listening to them you can hear what Cynic would be like if they had almost no clean vocals. The singer on the 1992 one is really good, but i like hearing it go back and forth between clean/brutal.

i just rediscovered my love for Ghoul. I had Maniaxe for a while and i kind of underestimated it. I liked it but i was like "what the hell is this?"

haha yeah they are. tbh i'm usually not much for humor type bands. most only use humor as their focus because they cant play their instruments.

No, he's saying that he doesn't have to acknowledge demos that Rattle found by randomly downloading albums on random sites, especially considering that he passes judgement without giving them adequate listens. He's saying that he doesn't have to like them, either the demos or the band, simply because Rattle brings them up.
