Quick, anyone know a program to remove vocals from a song?
I don't think it's possible to just do that :amaze: There are programs that allow you to eliminate frequencies of sound within set parameters. There may be one in the software thread in resources

Foxfire 09-29-2004 01:49 PM

^ Well, okay, not remove, just sort of...blur? the vocals. And okay, I'll check it out.

:amaze: 09-29-2004 01:54 PM

Why, are you trying to make a kareoke tape or something?

FUNKNBASS 09-29-2004 01:59 PM

T`i`M`T`o`O 09-29-2004 02:01 PM

:amaze: 09-29-2004 02:01 PM

Yeah, that happened to me too ... and I'm still tired :(

:amaze:

Foxfire 09-29-2004 02:03 PM

Well okay...

I'm in 8th grade. My school sucks in that we have to do an "assembly" in December. STUPID as hell. Well, my homeroom teacher knows that I enjoy acquiring stuff off the internet, and told me to download two songs or whatever.

I think that if I removed some of the mids and low-mids I could blur the vocals a bit, yes?

:amaze: 09-29-2004 02:21 PM

It's another guitar-heavey one. I'm not sure if I'm gonna go crazy on the drums though ... I might for a section or two. I really like the guitar riff I have ... I just need to be able to record it so it sounds good.

Oh man, I turned in one of the LAMEST papers that I have ever done in my life last week. I swear that it was some of the most mediocre crap that I've ever thrown onto computer paper. And guess what? Apparently I did an awesome job, was very insightful, and had some terrific ideas of my own that she would like me to expand upon in future papers. I am so kick ***.

Casual Twelve - Taken by the Elves

Hi there everyone, and welcome to Casual Thread 12!

Don't know how things are with you all, but I've just started my Sound Engineering course at Glamorgan Uni, Wales. It's an excellent excuse to buy more audio gizmos! Still in Freshers week at the moment, so I haven't actually started the course proper.

I was a bit worried that I wouldn't get a chance to come online all that often, but it turns out the house I'm in has a 2mb wireless internet connection, which is nice.

The one bad thing is that it's 5 hours drive from home, and so about 5 hours drive from my girlfriend, which is driving me crazy.

So how are you all?

risbo 09-29-2004 03:52 PM

I'm doing great! My fretless job is done but now I sound like crap. Anyone have any sites to help me out?

risbo 09-29-2004 03:54 PM

Everyone wants first reply

:amaze: 09-29-2004 03:54 PM

Oh yeah, I'm doing alright, my birthday is Saturday, so I am expecting e-gifts from all of you. :)

I'm currently writing my 10th song with my new guitar ... I'll keep you guys updated (if you want).
