or the birdman

ekajsk8er 12-14-2008 12:21 AM

death trill > birdman

it was gunface who did it though, not guy. i can't find the interview though :-(

Tyler 12-14-2008 12:24 AM

Gunface is a really nice guy but didn't strike me as particularly funny, case in point the painfully lame little skit he did with tommy from btbam to kill time. But super, super nice dude. Had a long talk with him about Sigh and Dismember when I saw them.

Viatrophy album update:

"We're hitting the studio on January 5th for 5 weeks to record our self-titled debut full length.

On producing duties we've chosen to use Dan and Justin (SiKth) at Wellerhill in London because we feel they can get us the perfect sound we need for the mix of epic, beautiful and disgustingly brutal.

We've scrapped probably about 9 or 10 songs during the writing process because we felt they didn't cut the proverbial mustard. What we've achieved now really does represent Viatrophy at this moment in time and at it's best.
For this reason we've chosen to self title the album, we've all busted our balls making this the best it can be. Everyone has had their input and everyone is more than satisfied with the sound we've achieved.

Colin Marks at rainsong studios will be handling the artwork and after we've hit the studio this will be released a long with a brand new song.

'The Ethereal Darkness' will appear on the album but nothing
from Chronicles will be rerecorded.

Adam has a cold sore.

Fatty takes his own life.

Peace"

So I just read that Earth From Above has two vocalists and three guitarists. That's a bit much IMO.

adb 12-14-2008 05:32 PM

woah

Dimmu Burger 12-14-2008 05:38 PM

I mean Whitechapel has 3 guitarists and they are all crowded together even on big stages but with two vocalists as well that is like playing your show in the mosh pit!

adb 12-14-2008 05:43 PM

most band members I've seen on a stage was Unexpect who had 7 as well
they barely fit

I've seen whitechapel with two guitarists before and there is definitely something amiss when you take one away.

Pebster49 12-17-2008 06:19 AM

are they even more mediocre?

Their last.fm bio says 3 guitarists and 2 vocalists. The myspace is probably more up to date though, so that's good. 3 is retared in most cases. I mean God even killed off one of the Hawthorne Heights guitarists cause he knew it was a waste!

2muchket! 12-17-2008 07:56 AM

oh snap !

Dimmu Burger 12-17-2008 07:59 AM

lol indeed!

Xplisit 12-17-2008 08:17 AM

Man and the funny thing is Hawthorne Heights was the first band I recall doing this, all those deathcore bands are somewhat following suit.

I remember the HH cd saying, "WITH THREE GUITARIST, BROOOOTAL".

Ok maybe not but it did mentioning having three guitars.

lol I think Zwan had 3 guitarists before Hawthorne Heights, but I gotta check the dates.

Arachnid 12-17-2008 11:11 AM

does zwan make a difference in musical history at all anyways?

Dimmu Burger 12-17-2008 11:15 AM

ummm...does Hawthorne Heights?

Arachnid 12-17-2008 11:17 AM

idk i suppose they could have gatewayed some kids but it's not a respectable way to gateway in the least

Dimmu Burger 12-17-2008 11:23 AM

most gateways are not respectable.

I think that if you were to listen to HH then whitechapel and you were to think to yourself who made better use of the 3rd guitar, you'd say whitechapel, because you know that brutal music is awesome.
