my roommate is a bike courier, he rides fixed now idk why but apparently lots of couriers do it idk seems stupid to ride a bike you can't really glide with

maybe it has better balance when you have to navigate slowly through people and stuff on sidewalks .. i hate riding them though. i have an old roadbike (schwinn le tour) that ill probably have to replace soon. i got treaded tires for it which is nice, i can ride on gravel / mild trails
