How many cover songs do Norther do?
|
actually, when i saw em on gigantour...they had this awesome pyrotechnic stuff.
ok but i ain't gonna lie...three doors down's pyrotechnics were a lot cooler :upset: they had green/blue/red/yellow fire
Metallica pyro show > Megadeth pyro show Megadeth only did a few blasts of fire and that was it. But a very awesome show nonetheless. |
Since we are on the topic of pyrotechnics and the like. Just thought I would post a couple of random pictures from a gig I went to last night.

But the crowd seemed to like the tricks. T'was ok. /knows this has nothing to do with megadeth |

/still off-topic, just shocked someone else knows Adam Bomb.
Yeah songs were good, and he did stuff like using a drum stick to play (the drummer looked well pissed when he took one of his sticks lol). But his tone was aweful, far too much presence, it was just sooo piercing. Seemed like a cool guy though. |
He had a different drummer when i saw him. A better looking one.

Don't let the Megadeth thread die :(
Megadeth should have their own MTV Icon, minus the crap covers. |
Yeah, that'd be awesome.
|
Yeah, But MTV is sh!t
|
True, they'd probably all let us down with Greenday playing a punk version of A Tout Le Monde.
|
That would make me cry.
|
Heh. It'd probably be released by them later and thousands of uneducated fans will think it's an original.
|

il prob punch greenday to wet bone then pull of there balls. they definently deserve there own MTV icon even though its a **** network |
I don't see it happening though. Megadeth aren't big enough.
|
I don't see it happening though. Megadeth aren't big* enough.
*Mainstream. Same thing though. But whenever you mention Megadeth, people are like  Is that some kind of satnic death band. It's like, no there are just like one of the biggest thrash acts on the planet but whatever. |
Yeah. They've had their 15 minutes on MTV though. If you read the RIP booklet Dave says "The videos for Holy Wars and Hangar 18 turned us into MTV Darlings". So I doubt we'll ever see them on MTV again.
|
Yea...I wish would have been around earlier when Symphony Of Destruction was played a lot on MTV.
I was only 4 then :( |
Haha same here. I wish I had MTV around that time... When they actually played Music videos.
|
lol everyone from the Metallica thread post here
i think they do seeing as there the second best thrash band. no actually im gonna say first seeing as Metallica first album was practically written by mustain |
No I haven't. But I imagine it's really good
when did they do it?
I just downloaded it. i dunno, i don't like it that much. it feels sorta weak compared to the original. less "urgent". |
lol everyone from the Metallica thread post here
That's because both bands are so awesome. I'll try to find that Norther cover. |
James Macdonough has left the band :(.
|
James Macdonough has left the band :(.
D'oh! From Blabbermouth.net
MEGADETH Part Ways With Bassist JAMES MACDONOUGH - Feb. 10, 2006 MEGADETH have parted ways with bassist James MacDonough. In a posting on the band's official forum, James wrote, "I just wanted to say thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome and thank you for all the awesome memories along the road. I will not be playing with MEGADETH any longer. I'm sure Dave [Mustaine, MEGADETH mainman] will post about it soon. Thanks again my metal brothers and sisters." Could MacDonough's departure signal the return of MEGADETH's original bassist David Ellefson? In a a February 4, 2006 online posting on the band's web site, Mustaine wrote, "I said it before, [and] I'll say it again: I once was resentful, but now I am over the feuds with METALLICA, Ellefson, whomever. I have actually met with Ellefson one-on-one for dinner last year around [Christmas] to just clear the air and let him know I have no hard feelings and wanted to remain friends with him. We have talked on the phone numerous times since." MEGADETH's next live appearance is scheduled for March 16 at the Desert Rock 2006 festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
|
i would like ellefson to come back.
geez, how many lineup changes has megadeth HAD now? |
Too many :p
|
I have a feeling Ellefson will come back. Mustaine said he was on good terms with him again.....so mabye.
|
I didn't expect that.
Good news this. NP: Judas Priest - Between The Hammer & The Anvil |
Hopefully Dave posts about this soon on the Megadeth forums. Like I remember when Menza was supposedly going to be in 'Deth again and then all of a sudden he wasn't. Dave took like 3 weeks to let everyone know about it and it was like 2 days before the tour started.
|
20 mill anyone?
|
I hope they find a bassist before the Dubai Gig.. Im gonna see them there.
