I really like that song, though I see what you're saying. The why he does the vocals in the verses, the start stop thing annoys me slightly, but nothing too bad.

Plus, hearing it live helps a lot.

I really like Weakness, thats a wonderfull song, and perfect to end that album.

I don't know about Weakness. It's cool sometimes, when I'm going to sleep or something, but otherwise its sort of.. really boring. It has no character to me.

Switch Wndowpane with Closure and you have my top 3 on that album.

I may listen to that tonight now.

I enjoy Closure to, but I just really like the emotion in Windowpane more. But Closures got some really cool parts, that one acoustic riff is really sweet.

Hey what's up guys, I've been really busy as of late so I couldn't really post but I will still be doing an April Ethereal analysis very soon I promise. Just a reminder and a buffer post of sorts., so sorry for interrupting the flow of thread.

The analysis will be more focused than my makeshift deliverence one and is going to be interpretive in nature rather than factual--of course this is a given....In other words the content is expandable, malleable and most definitely not absolute--so discussion will be welcomed!

Since it was a concept album, it might have been easier to have the lyrics already written. There'd be something more concrete to base the music on and the album would flow better IMO.

I love IMToN, but not so much the latter. Mikael's voice isn't that great on it, and the song in total just seems sort of rushed and uninspired. The fact that Mikael didn't write the lyrics sort of bugs me, too. Those are probably my favourite tracks off that album, though.

I'm rediscovering my love for Karma, though.. it's such a heavy song, emotionally. Some of the note choices during the bridge are so weird, yet they work in the overall scheme. His screaming is delicious, too.
