Come visit more often. We miss your puke breath.

pukeboy66 04-08-2009 09:08 PM

I have incredibly limited access to the internet dawg.

Spaceman Spiff 04-08-2009 09:23 PM

Ugh... I hate Passover.

pukeboy66 04-08-2009 09:28 PM

I know of Passover, only what I hear on the Daily Show, I'm ignorant and accept it...

DaveSavesTheDay 04-08-2009 09:29 PM

Zach, I saw something in the paper about some huge Sri Lanken protest that was here.

Anything at your place of work?

Nope. There hasn't been a protest for close to a month, I think.

DaveSavesTheDay 04-08-2009 09:59 PM

Holy ****, it must have been a while since we last spoke. I've had and quit 3 jobs since then.

I had a car for about 7 months before I totalled it... umm, I'm currently deciding between 3 schools right now, and have more or less quit playing music in favor of writing/reading.

How about yourself?

Cramboli 04-08-2009 10:47 PM

Ok the header say's "Once more with feeling"... Am I supposed to be passionate or just touch someone? Not really complaining they both sound exuberant...

burtonbassist_102 04-09-2009 12:32 AM

i just cooked and ate what i like to call the "bacon pounder".

its four 1/4 hamburger patties, each topped with a slice of cheese and two strips of bacon.

freakin' delicious.

Mr. Pickle 04-09-2009 01:40 AM

An unappealing bacon cheeseburger?

Basically.

burtonbassist_102 04-09-2009 01:42 AM

unappealing to you, perhaps.

but like i said, they're freakin' delicious.

on another topic, i think i'm gonna buy a cube 30 bass amp. those rock.

Mr. Pickle 04-09-2009 02:04 AM

four patties is too much. terrible bread/meat ratio.

on another topic, my Rivers' Cuomo tribute/replica guitar should be done soon. lawl

it's not because it's available, it's because you eat it...

So I worked two days last week feeling really shitty, just because I don't like taking days off work if I can help it. Then I couldn't manage it, so I took the other three days off, and basically stayed in bed feeling awful.

Today I got my paycheck for last week, and instead of saying something like £170 (what I'd normally get) on it, it said £10.06. How the fuck am I supposed to live off £10 for a week. This isn't cool.

Statutory sick pay means you don't get any money at all unless you're off for FOUR days or more. So my 3 days basically go unpaid. But I should still have like £65 from Monday and Tuesday. I rang up Human Resources but they just said to talk to the line manager. Who I don't see until Tuesday because of Easter.

Fuck this, I'm so angry about it :@

FunkMetalBass 04-09-2009 10:53 AM

Big companies will do anything to get out of paying sick employees. That happened to me twice when I worked for Kroeger (who requires you be sick the 3rd day and return with a doctor's note for sick pay).

The third time I got sick, I got a doctor's note the first day and took a 3rd day off to go to the zoo, just so that I could get my pay.

Gotta watch out for that fine print, man. I'm sorry that it happened. Hope HR sucks a **** and gives you SOMETHING.

FunkMetalBass 04-09-2009 11:00 AM

Another related story:

My ex-girlfriend also used to work for Kroeger. They are unionized hardcore, so after a year, you are entitled to free insurance (90/10 split, good insurance). The catch, however, is that you are required to work 100 hours in a month to get a month of free insurance 3 months later (100 hours in January means insurance coverage in April). You don't have the option to actually pay for the insurance through the company, and they don't tell you if you aren't covered for a month due to hours.

Basically, she worked 97.75 hours one month and had medical problems 3 months later. She got the ER bill that should have been extremely inexpensive and saw a bill for almost $4,000 staring her in the face.

Insurance refused to cover her for that month and she is probably still making payments on those bills now.

That's screwed up. Businesses will do anything they can to save money...

Btw, Supervillain is sounding pretty awesome! Catchy tune and good sound. Me likey.

FunkMetalBass 04-09-2009 11:41 AM

Thanks, dawg. I'll let the guys know. I think you're going to like "The Escape" when we get those recordings finished.

How's life, Steve?

I'm looking forward to hearing more stuff, you've already got a good sound and that is certainly a good tune. In not too long I think you guys could end up being a totally awesome band. Keep on going and I am sure you will be!

I'm not too bad, finally got this Easter weekend, so off until Tuesday. :)

I love conspiracy theory people, they make me laugh. Saw a part of a documentary about Planet X and how supposedly the Sumerians were slaves to living gods known as the Annanaki who were from Niburu (Planet X) and they genetically modified the proto-humans into homo sapiens... Fantastic.

I left a comment which totally pwned the whole thing and the guy who made the documentary goes on about how my theory is wrong, gives some weak arguments and says his is not full of holes when I just obliterated his theory in a few sentences. They crack me up these people.

What are you're plans for the weekend?

:amaze: 04-09-2009 03:27 PM

woo. just signed up for classes next semester. they all sound pretty interesting, and no friday classes!

BenJammin 04-09-2009 04:07 PM

Woo I graduate and don't have to worry about classes next year. ;)

:amaze: 04-09-2009 04:31 PM

woo i'm not graduating this year, so i don't have to stress about finding a job yet :)

Sablate McNuff 04-09-2009 10:41 PM

Ben, that's so cool. I'm very very jealous to say the least.

I'm in danger of failing my classes if I don't start doing a lot of that makeup work...and quick. Being sick for that long and the full time job really hurt my grades.
