Anyway, Matt is correct.

Last time I heard... they were considered "deathcore" or some bullshit like that. In my opinion, from hearing JFAC, they just sound like some scenester hardcore karate dancing band that uses gutterals and blast beats in their music, which doesn't qualify them as death metal.

Anyways, I'm not going to have some trivial argument about what fag band X or mediocre band Y is or isn't death metal. If you guys like to call them Death Metal, go ahead.

I'd rather talk about death metal that sounds good and sounds like death metal.

Botch is metalcore, they have TONS of breakdowns. Converge is metalcore as well, they have a lot less.

deathcore is just a general term (not genre) for death metal bands that use alot of breakdowns.
