It started when I called him a prick.

SplitOpenAndMelt 04-06-2005 07:29 PM

Hey, I never said the band was bad. I just don't enjoy the music they play. It's icky...It'd be sweet if you guys would stop arguing. Let's get back to some friendly discussion: What have you guys gathered about Trey Anastasio's new band. They played for the first time on 4/1, and I don't like the reviews I'm seeing. I already miss all the horns and jens superb voice...

jpj 04-06-2005 07:45 PM

Trey played with Mr. Crowe's Garden (Black Crowes) at Higher Ground very recently. That would've been cool.

Badmoon 04-06-2005 07:45 PM
BADMOON DOES NOT ENJOY LISTENING THEIR MUSIC THEREFORE HE FEELS THAT IT IS BAD MUSIC. I'M SURE THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE WHO LIKE THEIR MUSIC, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE HAS TO.
Exactly
It started when I called him a prick.
And continued me saying everything I previously said was my opinion (Get use to it; I'm pretty opinionated). And then some how, you got the idea that because one dislikes a band, it is irelevant, because they sold a bunch of CD's, or whatever. We then continued with me explaining the same thing over and over and you agreeing with (But not knowing). Now, hopefully, you'll realize that just because a band is adored by millions, that doesn't make it a fact that they are "Good".

pegwedge 04-06-2005 07:45 PM

Trey doesn't have the horns anymore? I haven't read much into it but I wish he still ahd the horns. I liked them.

Jam2Me 04-06-2005 07:53 PM
When in Rome...
I heard the Backstreet Boys are getting back together. Supposedly, they sold a bunch of albums; you should check them out. They have to be great :)

SplitOpenAndMelt 04-07-2005 01:33 PM

Yea, Trey ditched the horns...the songs that they were usually in sound so naked!

Greyspoke Variety is playing tonight at the Carriage House 8:00 in Bennington, VT. Anyone in the area should check them out.

jpj 04-09-2005 11:25 AM

Is anyone going to the All Good Festival? I wish I could go :(

pegwedge 04-09-2005 10:31 PM

I'm going! I don't care if I have to go by myself I'm going. That's a lineup I can't pass up for $79 and being that close to home. God...Claypool, Flaming Lips, Particle, SCI...orgasmic.

Edit: KMidura - Are you gonna tape the Greyspoke show? You really should. I need some new Greyspoke Variety.
Edit: KMidura - Are you gonna tape the Greyspoke show? You really should. I need some new Greyspoke Variety.
There's been a couple of shows taped since one was last put up on Archive.org, but they hate to put up shows that aren't super tight, and seeing as how Mike had to rush in from NYC without any practice in order to make it in time, I doubt they're going to want to put this one up. That being said, it should be mastered within the week, so it is completely up to the band. Even if this one doesn't go up, they should be playing another gig fairly soon, and that one will most likely be going up, as it will be back at the Riley Center, and the demand for copies of that show should be quite large. If you'd like to plead with them, feel free to email them at greyspokevariety@yahoo.com.

JPage54 04-10-2005 12:47 PM

Does anyone here have any Phish bootlegs?

pegwedge 04-10-2005 01:12 PM

KMidura - I'll ask Rob the next time he gets online. He IM'ed me a while back and I still have him on my buddy list.

JPage54 - Check out a progam called FurtherNet at www.furthernet.com. It's a really nice sharing program that lets people share shows. It'd be better though if you were on DSL or better cause the FLACs and SHNs are pretty big.

JPage54 04-10-2005 02:48 PM

Ok, thanks man.

EDIT: Link doesn't work. :(

And you like Billy Talent and Sum 41?

Your point?

pegwedge 04-11-2005 12:09 AM

Yeah that is pretty retarded. I guess jam bands are just over his head.

Anyway, Grateful Dead, Gov't Mule, moe., String Cheese Incident, Perpetual Groove, Tea Leaf Green...I could go on all night.

Oh and www.furthurnet.com for JPage54. Spelled it wrong last time. :thumb:

EDIT: Madey, Gov't Mule is very similar to Derek Trucks and The Allman Brothers.

SplitOpenAndMelt 04-12-2005 07:15 PM

jpj 04-13-2005 07:16 AM
Er...you 'bout to cross the line foo.
K, not very similar. Kind of alike, at least I think so.

SplitOpenAndMelt 04-13-2005 08:19 AM

They all share members but....I'd say that the ABB and DTB are the most different. And they are reaaaaally different.
