I know the French pronunciation, but as the British one I mainly hear it as a someone saying the French name not knowing it's French.

Which makes sense, because the British suck at foreign languages.

Things is good. I got back from an ultra-successful tour with the band, I received an email from Derek Birkett (founder of Flux of Pink Indians) as well as an email from Rennie Sparks (one half of the Handsome Family, a pretty famous alt. country band), I saw Rancid last weekend, and my ladyfriend is on the pill, so things have been going pretty well.

Score.

Speaking of "score", Against Me! keep covering my favorite songs. They're playing "Bastards of Young" for a Replacements tribute comp.

I'm looking forward to that album. It's got some great bands on it: This is My Fist, The Queers, Hi Ho Six Shooter, The Ergs, The Modern Machines, North Lincoln.

Word. I tried downloading some Culture Shock once and instead got all these tracks by an awesome reggae group called Culture. They're the ones who did Two Sevens Clash and purportedly inspired The Clash's bandname, though I heard that's not true. Either way, I saw them live at WOMAD last year, they were awesome.
