I wrote a total of 17 pages. Got an A+. :)

Science and math move society. You can sit around weaving baskets and discussing essential human truths all day long but it won't mean a **** if society doesn't have logic to function on (math and science dictate human life. That's my theory anyway).

psh are you saying logic would work without history? you might have your science and math, but history is the test to see if it worked or not. thats how we know communism doesnt work with humans. are you saying we could communicate without english? ^ You should learn to speak your native language, yes, but I think telling students what part of speech is what is BS myself. Honestly, who cares? If I wanted to, I could type with absolute perfect grammar on here (I have some sentence fragments and other minute grammatical errors). It's not whether or not it's perfect; if you understand the person, you're good.

Honestly, I think CERTAIN aspects of writing (I.e., correct sentence structure in whichever language...) are useful in tandem with other things. Though, honestly, I could care less if a word is a verb or an adjective, or an adverb (I still wonder to this day who got the genius idea to call them that...).

History, well...*shrug* A person with a large amount of logic will have an easier time predicting the outcome to something and figuring something out as opposed to one with a heavy history background.

Math we use daily, so that's obviously up there. Science, like Gav said, is the driving force for the technology that we currently rely on.

Obviously, though, history has it's place as well, and to one who wishes to control a group fo people (I use that term loosely :p), [i]certain[/i] aspects of history are useful. (Economic, etc.) However, I can tell you now I don't care who wrote something important on a napkin in an inn.

I jest. I know all the school subjects are important, yes, I just prefer math and science. I consider certain aspects of math extremely important and others extremely useless for most people (graphing parabolas, calculus, mind you, by "most people" I mean those who will not go into scientific of mathematic felds). The same goes for English.

thats cool, except communism hasnt worked yet, our democracy in americah as yet to fall so we cant say it wont work yet. communism worked while it was in place. once a governmental system falls and fails consistently we say it wont work. and i guess the human part was a bit over explanatory im not saying communism will work with otters. im just saying it wont work as long as the human need to look out for oneself is there, which leads to greed. which any smart person will then exploit communism to their own good.

False. Communism has seven steps (I don't recall them all). One of the steps is the rise of a dictator to "even it all out." Once everyrthing is evened out, Communism is achieved and history (since Marx argued history was nothing more than class struggles) ceases to exist.

According to Marx's own definition, Communism has yet to be achieved. Therefore, we cannot say, "Communism has failed" because it is yet to truly happen.

And the only problem with communism in my eyes is that the one in "rule" has to actually be a good leader.

With democracy, there are tons of things that can go wrong by any person in charge. Communism just has one guy that can mess up.
